_The rise of the superhero age on Earth has brought forth a lot of questions regarding the ethics and legalities of what it means to be Earth’s last defense. The establishment of the Justice League of America brings these conversations to light, and gets the public used to the ideas of Batman and Wonder Woman being seen on the street. Sometimes it’s useful, Superman stops the destruction of Metropolis at least once a week. Most people trust and depend on the new foundation of heroes. Unless you find yourself to be in the Robin trying to talk to civilians and get them out of dangerous situations. Or Speedy trying to get into a club to chase down a pickpocket. Even Wonder Girl isn’t immune to a bad math test at 10 am after a night of patrol. No one really knows what to do with young heroes. Without guidance or proper nurturing, the teens will find ways to have the life experiences that they need to develop into proper members of society, weather as civilians or as the new heroes of tomorrow.

Summary
A somewhat self-indulgent rewrite of Aphmau's 2015 webseries "Minecraft Diaries." Perspectives shift between chapters, though always staying in third person, and there will be time skips that assume you have seen at least season 1, with diary entries at the beginning of drastic time skips catching the reader up to speed to where we are in the story. There are some DRASTICALLY big changes that some OG fans may not like, but that's to be expected with any rewrite. Honestly not sure how often I'll be able to update this, so we'll see how it goes! Any constructive criticism is appreciated!

Back to the game, back to Max. Richie has been to a few of Max’s games before, and he always hates it when they're all so close together. It feels like there are so many opportunities for somebody to be shoved too hard. Maybe somebody falls the wrong way, snaps a bone in two. That’s Richie’s worst case scenario, excluding the unthinkable.
Max is a little too involved in this scuffle for Richie to be comfortable. It doesn’t look like it’s supposed to be happening. This doesn’t look like friendly competition. Richie stands up and presses his hands against the glass, trying to take in a full breath and only managing shaky half ones.
An opposing player shoves Max hard and Richie feels his heart jolt. Josh tries to stifle a gasp. Everybody else stops talking to look. Max staggers a little, his disorientation apparent even from all the way down there. He doesn’t shove back. Richie’s heart would’ve swelled with pride if he’d had the time.
The same player shoves Max again. This time he crashes into the field like he weighs a tonne. He doesn’t get back up.
