Rose was sure the ground she was standing in had melted with how quickly her face had warmed. She stilled, eyes blown wide, lips open, but unable to let a sound out of them.
He pulled away to look at her. His eyes were half lidded and his smile bright. His hair was slightly mussed, and his cheeks, she noticed despite her attempts not to, were pleasantly rosy.
It made his freckles stand out.
OR
After partying with the Tyler family the Doctor is sufficiently cheery and sufficiently inebriated and nobody trusts him to safely make it to the TARDIS. Rose, only marginally more sober, walks him back, trying hard not to think too hard about how touchy the alcohol's made him.

My head canon is that Bad Wolf made some permanent changes to Rose including telepathy and an extended lifespan. That's only sort of relevant here though.
This was an idea out of the blue and I wrote it quickly, apologies if it doesn't make sense. No beta, we die like Rory. -
