Summary
Five years after killing Levi Cornwall, Arthur Morgan is happy. He has a wife who loves him, an honest job he enjoys, and two beautiful children named Sadie and Hiram. All of it is turned on its head, however, when Francis Sinclair, Arthur's time-traveling friend and therapist, shows up at the Double L Ranch panicking because he has accidentally managed to change the past in a drastic way.
Changing the past can have disastrous, reality-ending consequences, so Arthur and the others are forced to go back in time to 1899 to follow the Van Der Linde Gang throughout the events of Red Dead Redemption 2, with hopes of fixing Francis' error. Along the way, Arthur is forced to confront a past he despises and put it to rest once and for all for the good of reality itself.

Summary
The Van der Linde gang is still very young and more of a simple posse when little Freja Hansen came into their lives.
None of the members had any experience with raising children as young as her but were willing to give it their all to ensure she had a good life, as good as one could get being around outlaws. As Freja grows up, she becomes a vital part of the gang but the fateful year of 1899 is when things really start crashing down and she has to make hard decisions regarding the safety of herself and the people she sees as family.

John looked up to the voice, startled despite himself - he should know better than to let his guard down, really. He was met with the sight of a young man, long brown hair hanging around the hard angle of his face, dark brown eyes staring at him. His dark mustache was split in the middle, but also a bit on the left, a hole left by a scar. He had both a soul patch and a goatee, which looked slightly strange, in John's opinion. The man was wearing a beige and dusty coat that went past his hips, above a leather gunbelt, a Mauser in the holster. There was a red bandana stripped with white around his neck hiding the collar of a white shirt.
John could tell just by looking in his eyes that the boy had seen too much too fast. There was also something strangely familiar about him, but John couldn't pinpoint what.
“Do I know you?” he asked instead of answering.
“Uh, no,” the boy replied with unease. “But I know you. You won't eat that?”

Summary
Arthur Morgan did not intend to survive when he gave his hat to John Marston and stayed behind to gain his redemption. As he crawled towards his final resting place, he never intended to wake up again.
But he does wake up. Thanks to time travelers Francis Sinclair and Charles Smith, Arthur's life has been saved by a Saint Denis hospital in the year 2021. The two men were under orders from a mysterious figure known only as The Traveler to save Arthur, as a reward for turning his life around. While Arthur's tuberculosis is on the mend, he finds he has unfortunately developed a nasty case of PTSD from his brush with death. To cope, he goes to live on a Big Valley cattle ranch owned by Jackson and Victoria Linton, two of Mary Linton's descendants. The siblings quickly become Arthur's new family, though Arthur is especially taken with Victoria. At the same time, Arthur is haunted by memories of his past life, from 1883 to 1899.
Navigating the strangeness of waking up in a different century soon takes a spot on the back burner when a ghost from the past begins to threaten the ranch. Arthur must prove whether he really is a redeemed man as he faces a choice between his old life and the new home he has made in 2021.
