When it's allowed to grow, and in the limited time it exists as a soft, delicate bulb, its fluff topped seeds leave home to travel through the winds, looking for somewhere new to settle.
The wind may have not carried him, but Toji Zenin eventually finds himself planted into the life of Miriko Fushiguro after a somewhat chaotic night. Will he be forced out of place again, just like before, or is it finally his turn to be allowed to bloom?

“Do you know Tsumiki?” he asks the child gruffly, crinkling the paper with the drawing when his fingertips drag over the smooth and chalky surface where the crayons have indented the parchment from her damn-hard pressing. “She’s my daughter. You draw like her.”
The girl sighs something heavy, and Toji looks up at her for it. It’s not the sort of sound one would just expect a young lady to make, let alone in the presence of a stranger. Everyone’s got appearances to keep up these days.
She reaches behind her head with too-pale fingers and pulls dark locks up into a handheld ponytail style.
Oh.
AKA: I know canon Toji is [just] bad with names, but, like… what if he had face blindness instead? (I don’t think I did actual prosopagnosia much justice here. You should research it on your own if you’re interested in learning more!)
