Summary
While on parental leave after adopting an ex-Borg Brunali child, Kathryn Janeway and Jean-Luc Picard discover that a defect in her emotion-blunting chip puts the child's life at risk. Their other adopted child, Icheb, has wanted to have his chip removed for some time. They must make tough decisions about their children's health while seeking professional help to support their new daughter's emotional fragility.
Janeway's passion for helping the children among the 30,000 ex-Borg (my story, Newcomers), leads her to contact a Vulcan journalist in the hope of spreading the word about children in need of adopters. When William Riker calls on his former captain to help him, they learn just how special their situation is.

Admirals Picard and Janeway are assigned to help mediate between cultures on Gliese 514-C, a planet with commercial ties to the Federation. They are guests of the newly-refurbished Enterprise-E, whose captain and the entire senior bridge crew are on their first mission together.
Set after Voyager’s season end and The Next Generation film, Nemesis. Picard and Janeway have been a couple for about 18 months. They live in Picard’s high rise apartment in San Francisco because Janeway’s rental house was attacked (in my story, No Good Deed). Picard and Janeway are admirals. Picard reports to Alyssa Necheyev. Janeway reports to Owen Paris.

During the temporal cold war, a borg Tesseract visits the alternate future timeline glimpsed in Voyager season 7 episode 11, assimilating a mature Naomi Wildman and Icheb. They are assigned to the infiltrator project, an experiment in alternative assimilation vectors. Escaping the temporal cold war, the Borg Tesseract lands in the delta quadrant prior to starfleet's first encounter with the borg. As the more advanced iteration of the collective, the tesseract assumes primacy over the local borg, and transmits new directives. Q doesn't introduce the enterprise to the borg, because q junior has paid icheb a visit and negotiated a game with the collective. Starfleet is faced with a far more subtle adversary, one that they don't recognize until it's to late...

Summary
After she arrives on Voyager, a Starfleet vessel, Maquis B'Elanna Torres reviews her history, especially as it pertains to Thomas Paris. She records her perceptions of old and new crew mates as well as aliens they meet during their flight through the Delta Quadrant towards their homes in the Alpha Quadrant (and, in a few cases, the Beta Quadrant).
Although the stories follow the "canon" of the show pretty closely, some inclusions that do not directly contradict what was portrayed visually on the series do appear.
The three original stories first published separately on the ASC mail service in the late 1990's will appear here as chapters in a single work. The final chapters are new and were first published in 2024 and 2025.

Post-Series for Voyager, and after Star Trek: Nemesis. Set after my four other stories, Leave of Absence, QT, Inner Shadow, and Interlude. Picard and Janeway had been involved for about a year when Picard got cold feet and broke it off, then beginning and ending a relationship in "Interlude."
“Picard” and “Prodigy” never happened. The books were never written. Only in-canon for the series and films.
