Aang ha escapado de sus responsabilidades de Avatar, no quería ese peso que jamás pidió cuando de repente una tormenta lo atrapa a él y a Appa haciéndolos caer. Despierta en un lugar oscuro dónde conoce a Raava y le ofrece un trato: que alguien más tome su lugar y ella sabe quién es el avatar perfecto para el trabajo. Kyoshi. Una re-imaginación de como sería si en vez de Aang fuese Kyoshi quién tenga que lidiar con la guerra de 100 años que su sucesor provocó y terminar con ésta para traer el balance al mundo de nuevo.

Aang has fled from his Avatar responsibilities, he didn't want a burden he never asked for. When a sudden storm traps him and Appa, they are sent crashing down. He awakens in a dark place where he meets Raava, who offers him a deal: someone else will take his place, and she knows who the perfect Avatar for the job is. Kyoshi. A reimagining of what it would be like if, instead of Aang, it were Kyoshi who had to deal with the Hundred Year War caused by her successor and bring it to an end to restore balance to the world. -

They haven't seen each other in 20 years, so imagine Sokka and Zuko's surprise when they are called to their old high school because their son's have decided to continue the Tarkik-Takibi rivalry, despite never knowing it previously existed. The principal issues an ultimatum that forces these former enemies to make a pact to ensure their sons make it past their 6 month probation and are able to avoid expulsion.
As sparks start to fly, both Sokka and Zuko quickly realize they've signed up for more than they bargained for.

“The district 11 male tribute will be…” Ming Ming paused to squint at the paper, “Sokka, son of Hakoda!”
“And now for the ladies...” Ming Ming said, but Katara barely hears her. Greif has already set in. Katara knows her brother, strong as he is, will not survive a Hunger Games, not against the terrifying fire-bending tributes from districts one, two and three. The odds are never in her family's favour.
This is proven true when Ming Ming announces that the female tribute from district 11 will be Katara.

He was also wearing red.
When Katara cracks an iceberg to find a Fire Nation boy, hers and Sokka's initial thoughts are that he's a spy sent to kill them.
