“Yeah?” Casey replied, sounding like he didn't have any broken bones.
“How?” Donnie asked, starting to believe his maps weren't as accurate as he thought.
“How what?” Casey asked.
“How did you get down a twenty foot vertical shaft?” Donnie asked.
“Oh, that,” Casey remarked, like it was old news. An old foe. “A rope.”
Donnie could feel the cogs of his brain turning slowly. Still gummed up by social anxiety. “A rope? You’re laying line in my air filtration system now? Are you a cave explorer? Do you have a YouTube channel that you will one day unceremoniously stop uploading to?” he asked, perplexed.
“Laying line?” Casey asked. “Is that an old person thing, from the past? Like leveling up? What's a YouTube?”
Donnie huffed. “Yes, it’s an old person thing from the past. Cave explorers would wriggle down into cracks in the earth. They would bring a rope that would lead from the exit all the way in. That way they could find their way out by following the rope.”
“What’s the point in doing that?” Casey asked.
“What is the point in what you’re doing?” Donnie countered.

Leo gave him time to elaborate. He did it out of pure habit and maybe to spite himself, because Usagi never elaborated.
“Okay. And where are Jotaro’s parents?” he asked, waving his hand in the air to indicate he needed a little more.
Mikey and Usagi exchanged a second look, which already promised complete disaster, so when neither of them managed a response, Leo walked over to the table and leaned over the child.
“Are you lost? You need help?”
Jotaro didn't even look up at him, fully focused on sucking all his juice through the straw at once, and when the carton finally emptied, he gasped for air as if he'd just drowned.

The Techno drone wasn’t meant to be ever separated from its pilot. Yet Donnie forcibly got ripped out of it. But that never meant that the Techno Drone also got ripped out of Donnie. Or that the softshell’s parts all come back with him. What will a turtle do if he finds out that he’s partially Krang and that part is actually the majority of him?
Or the Techno Drone didn’t just Krangified, but straight up made Donnie 70% Krang. Of course with a species change comes some freaky new instinct, issues and body horror worthy transformations. Drowning in intense self hatred and fear of losing his brothers ( especially his twin) of course he tries to face all these challenges all alone.
Basically another Krang-Donnie AU, but trust me this is going to be a rollercoaster of very gory, very sweet and have a lot of made up Krang lore you never knew you needed.

Leo could see their faces now: Donnie on the right, Raph on the left, and Mikey, dead center, both arms outstretched, his forearms covered in glowing cracks. Donnie and Raph each had a hand on either of Mikey’s shoulders, similar cracks creeping up their skin. Their faces were all filled with tearful relief, even Donnie, who swore he was “immune to emotions”.
Despite everything, Leo felt his lips curve into a smile. They’d come for him after all. He reached out towards his brothers, wincing as the motion sent a fresh stab of pain through his chest.
Then, just before he could reach the portal, everything went dark.

The Krang invaded earth so easily. They weren't prepared at all for this moment. Even with the help of Big Mama and Draxum, nothing could stop these other world creatures. The turtles did everything they could to try and get rid of them, but all that resulted in was losing more and more family and friends.
What's worst is that Leo is pregnant during the invasion, finding out just days before it. He was a liability but still wanted to help no matter what. He didn't want to raise his kids in a world that was near its end. No matter what he would do anything to protect them and his family.
Even if it meant that he had to die for them.

Leo watched him awkward. Instinct told him to try to relax and make a joke, but something made him feel that this one would not be well received.
"Don't worry, big brother," said the one in red bandana.
(And something in that sentence was wrong).
"You'll get your memories back and then we'll all be training together again, you'll see" he told him with a confident smile, looking like he believed every word he said. But faltering at the end of the sentence, showing a bit of his doubt.
Leo tried to smile back, only ending with a strange grimace.
Everything was wrong, his body was wrong. And even though he didn't know what was going on, he was just sure that those people were not his brothers.

Leonardo pauses his stirring. He half-expected a joke—an innocent little jab meant to lessen the tension thickly clouding the kitchen—yet Leo’s voice is quiet, serious.
So Leonardo turns around and offers the same air of calmness that the teen approached him with. Yet his chest constricts when he has to angle his head down low to meet Leo’s eyes, and an overwhelming sadness withers his heart as he takes in that young, bright-eyed face. Leo is a child, a baby.
And he’s going to cause the end of the world.
