Long before the axe-blade had fractured his skull and stolen his tongue, Bifur had been a young, ambitious toy-maker with a streak of wanderlust that his cousins found confusing but he was the older one.
It was on a rainy ridge near the borders of the Bree-land that he had encountered two Hobbits who would change his life: Bungo Baggins, a stout fellow with a surprising amount of common sense, and Belladonna Took, a woman who seemed to view "danger" as a personal challenge.

The Company arrived at Bag End in a flurry of chaos. Bifur stood at the back, his eyes darting around the familiar hallway. It was different, darker, quieter, but the smell was the same. Lavender and pipe-weed.Then, he saw him.

the dwarves and Bilbo run out of food while in erebor and thanks to the gold sickness that has affected the company(minus bifur and Bilbo) and the hunger they all are facing they get harsher towards Bilbo (don't worry they feel really bad after) Bilbo never gives the elf king and bard the arkenstone (the battle of the five armies still happen) cause he is starving. this has three different ending cause I couldn't bare to leave it at just the first one.
1- Bilbo dies alone
2- Bilbo dies with bifur there
3- Bilbo survives
also no ships in this bifur and Bilbo are like brothers here -

Summary
Bilbo Baggins is much more competent than any of these 13 dwarrow know, much more so than even Gandalf knows. When Gandalf explains the quest these dwarrow are going on, Bilbo knows that they will absolutely muck it up. Someone needs to watch out for them, and if a Hobbit needs to be the babysitter than so be it!
None of the dwarrow know just how capable this Hobbit is when they leave his door, and they’ve barely begun their journey and Bilbo’s already proven his worth just a few days in! Who knew such a small creature could hold so much knowledge?
Even Thorin Oakenshield was grudgingly impressed.
None of them need to know that Bilbo is babysitting them, and if he grows to love them all as family (and maybe a couple as something else) than that’s nobody’s business but his own!

Bilbo Baggins was not proud of how he turned out. He was not proud of allowing his dear Frodo to be the ring bearer. He was not proud of allowing his dear friends to die.
Perhaps it was for this reason that Bilbo was given the chance to redo it. Perhaps the gods pitied him, or perhaps this was his punishment for all he had done.
Regardless of the reason, Bilbo was here, in his dining room with dwarves he had long since parted ways with. With dwarves who had long since died. He didn’t know why he was here, but one thing was certain.
Bilbo Baggins was determined to do better. He would not lose anyone dear to him, he swore it. Even if the cost was his own life.

Summary
Taking place just after the dwarves escape the Elven kings dungeons by barrels (before they meet Bard to continue on to Laketown) Thorin and his company are ambushed by a group of traders who decide the dwarves might actually be of some value.
Note: This takes elements of the hobbit book and movie, pretty much meaning the barrels have lids on them, the dwarves know about the ring and Kili does not get shot BUT the dwarves have their personalities from the films.

Bilbo’s already met the company and they’re rather surprised to see Bilbo doesn’t know his home is the meeting place for the company. Gandalf always hides shit, Thorin is a jerk and Bilbo tells him off to the amusement of the others.

During an ambush, Bilbo gets seriously injured but hides them from the company, fearing they would taunt him for it, especially Thorin. However after a while, it gets harder and harder to hide the wounds. The Company is not happy when it finally comes to alight that something is most definitely wrong with their Burglar.
The life of Bilbo Baggins is ticking away and the dwarves are cracking under the pressure. Levels of trust are tested and stretched to the limit. Gandalf had always been right.
Bilbo will certainly never be the same Hobbit he once was.(This fic will be a Multi-Chapter Ending, one with Major Character Death as well a continuation of the fic. Just a warning, there's going to be a whole lot of feels.)
