Or the Minnesota Wild just acquired Quinn Hughes. It's nothing but out of character, self indulgent chaos, and as a life long Canucks fan I obviously can't leave out the OG's (Brock, Demmers, and Petey).

Summary
When the Vancouver Canucks host their annual Family Road Game, Quinn Hughes expects nothing more than a low-stress weekend with his mom.
He does not expect to click instantly with an NBA player who lives across the continent.
He does not expect to think about him for weeks afterward.
And he definitely does not expect to end up in Philadelphia with a free night, a spare ticket, and Quentin inviting him over after the game. -

Summary
On Labor Day weekend in 2017, a reckless boating accident leaves thirteen-year-old Luke Hughes fighting for his life after his leg is shredded by a propeller. Though doctors save him, the injury ends his dream of ever competing in the NHL.
After nearly a year of grueling rehab, Luke feels isolated as Jack and Quinn prepare for their own careers. No longer welcome in their world of hockey, he moves in with his grandfather Marty in the New York suburbs. Marty, a retired FDNY battalion chief, offers stability, and points Luke towards another dream that only the bravest can answer.
Now a firefighter he’s assigned to Station 43 in Midtown Manhattan, where he forms a new kind of brotherhood with Mark and Ethan, the dynamic paramedics; Dylan and Rutger, who handle fire suppression; and Seamus, Luke's partner for rescues and extraction.
But with Jack just across the Hudson River, blood truly is thicker than water, and Luke must now fight a different kind of fire from that the Devil himself cannot put out.

Summary
Jack doesn't get a chance to say anything else before Luke’s hugging him, pulling him close to himself. He freezes slightly when Luke first does so, shock filling his body.
He thought that there was a chance that his brother wouldn’t want to touch him after he admitted everything. He's a freak, trapped into becoming something that everyone calls a monster. He didn’t think his brother would want to touch him, a blood-sucking freak, yet. Here he is. He’s hugging him, and he’s pulling him close, and he’s helping Jack more than he thinks he’ll ever know.
Jack hugs his brother back, and he twists to bury his face in his chest. He can only hope his brother won’t say anything about the tears soaking his shirt.
or, jack is a vampire, and the team doesn't know

Summary
A summer charity gala in Detroit throws Quinn Hughes and Joe Burrow into the same orbit, even though neither has any idea who the other is. One polite introduction turns into a night of unexpected ease, the kind that settles under the skin in a way neither of them can name. They tell themselves it's nothing more than a surprisingly good conversation. They tell themselves they will forget about it.
They don't.
Soon, there are texts at midnight, shared jokes, “accidental” meetups, and long silences that feel like confessions. They become the one person the other can breathe around without realizing how dangerous that is. They blame the off-season, then geography, then coincidence, but the gravity only grows stronger.
Both are leaders under pressure. Both live their lives on camera. Both are convinced the spark between them is harmless.
They're wrong.

"Your brother has been having it rough, eh?" the bartender says offhandedly.

Summary
“Director Hischier?”
The intern in the doorway looked about twelve and terrified, hugging a stack of folders to their chest. Nico looked up from his laptop, blinking out of the deep focus of a model that really didn’t want to converge. The intern glanced at the nameplate on his door – NICO HISCHIER, DIRECTOR OF ANALYTICS – and blushed. “Right. Sorry. Um. Mr. Hughes asked me to bring you the updated deck for the Helios meeting.”
Nico’s stomach did a quiet, anticipatory flip.
“Thanks, good job.” He took the folder, offering a reassuring smile. “You survived being sent on a personal Hughes errand. That’s half the battle around here. That means he likes you,” he said. “In his way.”
The intern’s eyes went wide. “He… likes people?”
“Sometimes,” Nico said, amusement tugging at his mouth. “Go enjoy the blessing.”
The kid flushed scarlet. “Thank you,” they blurted and nearly fled.
Nico watched them go with a little glow of pride. Three and a half years ago, he’d been the one clutching files and flinching at every footstep. Now he had his own office, his own team, a title that still felt a little too big in his mouth.
And a husband whose name was on the top floor.

Summary
It’s a rare occasion for Quinn to have postgame plans. Like, never-fucking-happens rare. He’ll tell you outright if he doesn’t want to hang out. “Plans? Seriously? You hanging out with someone, bud?”
“Yeah, actually.” A smile tugs at Quinn’s lips, so he lets it cross his face. “Remember last year?”
“Last year? Last year, when?” Then it clicks. “Oh. Oh. Kaprizov?”

Summary
“That’s not fair?” Trevor raises his voice too. “What’s not fair is you requesting a trade and not telling me. What’s not fair is me finding out that you requested the trade from Cam almost two years later. What’s not fair is you letting me believe that you had no idea it was coming. What’s not fair is you not talking to me after that. What’s not fair is you waiting until two hours before you left to say what you said. None of that was fair.” Trevor is hyperaware of the other people in the room and as mad as he is, and he is very mad, he’s not going to say anything that could actually hurt Jamie’s career, or his own.
“You don’t know what you’re talking about!” Jamie snaps back. His fists are clenched at his side, for a second Trevor wonders if Jamie is going to hit him. “Don’t stand here and act like you have the whole story. Just stop, Trevor.” He steps closer to Trevor, closer than they have been since the trade.
“Tell me then,” Trevor demands.OR
Trevor learns the real reason that Jamie was traded
