Maybe the presence that initially occupied it didn’t put up much of a fight in the face of the intruder, or couldn’t. Maybe he simply didn’t want to. The man had a soft smile tugging on his lips that you are sure he was always sporting when he was watching you, even if you couldn’t see it from beyond the veil.

A "what if there were two cousins, one cismale, one cisfemale" who come on down to the Holler for the funeral sort of story.
Massive slow-burn fic from the perspective of the OC female Scarlet character, told in 2nd person 'you' perspective. The male Scarlet will be more fleshed out over time as well, and Tabitha will get her time to shine. Essentially a "what if another Scarlet had the Traits the 'main character' didn't" sort of tale. With all the complications of the Scarlet Legacy that introducing a third family member entails. This will EVENTUALLY turn into a Female Scarlet/Wayne romance, a hinted-at male Scarlet/Reese romance, and Tabitha will be in her toxic yuri arc eventually with Stella. Other Scarlet Hollow characters will eventually be referenced in the story, but I won't add them to tags until it's relevant.
What does Hardcore Mode say? By clicking you agree to suffer? Yeah. That. Angst is inevitable. Violence and awfulness inevitable. Tags to be updated accordingly when it comes up per chapter. Do NOT expect something tame from this fic just because it's slow-burn--tagged with trigger warnings accordingly for future chapters. CH1 is tame though.
