A novelization of OFF, a game I only recently experienced for the first time and really enjoyed. Makes sense given that it ultimately inspired games like Undertale, OMORI, and other indie RPGs that I really like. I wanted to write something about it, and chose to do something I've wanted to try experimenting with, a novelization! This is fairly experimental, but I'll try my best!
Also, this fic will be based upon the 2025 remake as opposed to the original 2008 release. I know there's not too many changes between them, but it will include the remake exclusive characters.

Strange as it is, slow as it is, he takes his quiet chances to glimpse The Puppeteer, and in his restlessness, is gifted a reprieve, and he decides purification may wait a little bit longer. Just long enough to wonder what Players dream of.

To a certain extent, only the Batter had access to their voice, for issuing commands and giving orders that can only vaguely ring in his head during the purification process.
