“Thank you, Dr. Yueh”, came out in a small quiet raspy voice. Paul watched with tired eyes as the door to his bedroom closed after the Doctor's rushed retreat, … only if he had let it.
Instead, riding on the highs of his heated delusional thinking, he had stood on shaky legs to reach the door in time to prevent it from shutting all the way.
Once again he should have stayed where he was, in the comfort of his own chambers but he couldn’t.
With his health compromised, the possibility of having another vivid dream while he slept was inevitable.
He was vulnerable, the paranoia growing in the back of his mind told him so.
Therefore, he was going to push his already exhausted body to its limit in order to reach the one place where he felt the safest and most protected, Duncan Idaho’s chambers.
Paul just needed to feel that security, he needed that sense of safety that the man’s presence provided. Though his heart ached when he remembered that the man was currently away on a mission, he shuffled along the cold stone walls till he turned a familiar corner; his sanctuary within his grasp just a few doors down.

Paul should not be blamed for what happened next.
Again, he must reiterate that he was fully conscious of why his parents had a functioning relationship as Duke and concubine instead of man and wife. Even though he did not understand why for all that they’ve loved each other, his parents would choose to live this way. Especially when they stood to lose everything with this move to Arrakis to quite possibly meet their end – Shaddam’s intentions were not exactly subtle.
So, it seems logical to Paul that they should go out with a metaphorical bang.
“What if,” he raised his voice in the war room. “I have an idea that could cause enough attention that renders us less of a threat to the Emperor? After all, he is just afraid of our growing standing in the Imperium.”

Lamentablemente perdí ese trabajo y me dio rabia asi que no lo continué. Faltaría un tercer fic que, si todo va bien, también escribiré. Trataré de marcar todos los Oc´s al inicio de cada capítulo así como los capítulos picantes por quien quiera ir al lio.
