Summary
When Sam is 10, his parents die in a car accident.
Afterwards, he’s sent to live with an uncle he has never met.When he is 17, he goes to college.
There, he catches the unwanted attention of the Autobots Search & Retrieval.Set in a world where the Autobots are known and have been quietly (and also not so quietly) meddling in human affairs since the late 1800s.
An AU of Fission - A bit of an alternative way of Sam getting to Diego Garcia (that started as a small what if but quickly grew out of proportions).
I don’t think you need to read Fission to understand what’s going on here, but it’s an absolutely delightful work, so you absolutely should go read it. -

Summary
In the Fissionverse, the rescue bots are civilians who came to Earth in hopes of starting over after the war came to an abrupt close due to the disappearance of the allspark.
On the revelation that the allspark has dispersed to a small percentage of the human population, they leave behind any idea of settling back on what remains of Cybertron and instead get hired to be night crew for local first responder stations.
There, they are the downstairs neighbors to our family of heroes, now reeling from two life changing diagnosis for both Cody and Dani.
Things are about to change, especially with the Prime’s search and recovery team becoming interested in the island.

Peter should’ve known better than to mess with the multiverse. Dr. Strange had made everyone forget who he was and he still looked for trouble. He should have just walked away once he heard it was a multidimensional teleporter, but people were in danger and he had to help. He should have been less reckless, he wouldn’t be in this situation otherwise.
The situation being transported to a whole new universe where giant metal aliens landed on Earth centuries ago. And now they, and another group, were out to get him.

Summary
There had always been some degree of hubris that followed Ratchet. Not that maliciousness was ever his goal but after finally making his way up the institutional order of Cybertronian society, far away from his creator's reputation, it was to be expected. He was taken to his creator’s home under the assumption that their interests would align as he grew. Sadly, this assumption only led to disappointment for all involved.
He supposes he was lucky. His current occupation would’ve been a slow-going success without his creator, however indignant his feelings towards fate and divine intervention are. He didn’t believe he viewed the world through rose-tinted optics. But now he knows that there was nothing to ever compare it to.
So, while his creator pushed him to perfection, not unlike the high expectations silently placed on the mechs in the city center, his predestined stubbornness bared its teeth. He had no interest in being holed up in a stuffy room full of datapads, lit terminals, and awards long since rusted in a crate.
