    “You good?”

There’s that question again. Trevor’s face is doing that thing it does, the usual wildness replaced with something Michael can’t make out. He hates that look. He'd take furious Trevor, gun-in-hand Trevor, over this one every time. He goes to take another sip from his whiskey, but there’s nothing left at the bottom of the cup.

“I’m good, T. Tired, didn’t sleep well last night.”

Trevor looks at him from across the couch, eyes narrowed, irritated. “You can tell me if you’re having a shit time, man, I’m not going to make a thing out of it.”

“It’s not a thing, would you just drop it? I’m fine. Really fucking good, actually.”

Trevor looks at him again, lips pursed in annoyance. At that moment, Michael thinks about how he could always kill himself.

    Summary

Peter Parker's new upstairs neighbor is too nice, too tall, and keeps leaving first-aid kits by his door like he knows something.

Clark Kent's downstairs neighbor is too skinny, too tired, and keeps coming home bleeding through his hoodie like he thinks no one notices.

It takes a broken rib, a bent skillet, and one very awkward conversation for them to realize they're both dorks and nerds.

    Summary

Bruce Wayne is a man holding up a collapsing sky, his hands raw and his mind fracturing under the weight.
A crushing, manic despair that feels less like sadness and more like a high-voltage current vibrates just beneath his skin. His brain is becoming a runaway engine, clearing the static of a thousand tragedies at a thousand miles an hour, leaving him constantly on the verge of tearing himself apart just to let the pressure out.
