Summary
Seven towns, seven noticeboards in one of the most underserved and monster-infested regions on the continent, and not a single damn contract to be seen. Every alderman had the same response. Some asshole breezed through right before Lambert, taking every damn contract for himself. With the harvest season drawing to a close, there should have been a bounty of monsters to slay to get him through the winter. Instead, the townsfolk eyed him warily, unsubtly urging him to pass through rather than rest under a real roof for once. Not that he had the coin to spare.
Underneath the heavy scent of rain and mud, he caught the barest whiff of wood smoke.
The hunt was on.AKA: Lambert and Aiden's first meeting, their even-more-disastrous second meeting, and what comes after ;) Oh, and a magic cat. Wait, what?

Summary
Shouta and Hitoshi sat in companionable silence as the kettle boiled on the stove, trying and failing to shake off the dregs of their long night.
Hitoshi stared listlessly at his art history essay. In place of a staple, the pages were held together with a holographic unicorn sticker. He slid the packet into his backpack before flopping backwards in his chair, shading his eyes with his arm. Shouta opened his mouth to reprimand him about leaning his chair on two legs, but opted to rest his head on his arms instead.
Just for a moment.
Just until the kettle boils…
Little did either of them know, they had forgotten to light the stovetop.

AKA Aizawa gets a late start to an otherwise normal day. Why is everyone looking at him like that? Does he have something on his face? -

Summary
Though he would never tell them, Shouta enjoyed spending the evenings before patrol watching over his students. With unfortunate regularity, he had to put a stop to fights, elaborate pranks, and crimes against cookware, but just seeing them be kids soothed a part of him often left unsettled.
“Oi! Did you just put that pot down on the cutting board? Does cross-contamination mean nothing to you, Raccoon Eyes!?”
He continued to let them think he only tolerated their antics, because some nights his patience wore thin.

Or, After a long day, Aizawa is dead on his feet. His hellions accidentally make it worse, then they make it better.

Summary
Geralt would probably prefer he went to bed and left him to his hunting. Jaskier would prefer it as well. But he also preferred to sleep knowing his witcher was safe at his side. He would get no rest at all if he was fretting over the possibility of finding him unconscious under a pile of rubble knocked loose by the griffon he was sent to hunt. Or half-frozen and septic in some swamp after being ambushed by a particularly nasty water hag. Or tied to a tree in his skivvies by a jilted succubus. Or…
~~~~
Or, Geralt went out on a contract and didn't make it back by the time the tavern closed. It's up to Jaskier to find out where his dear witcher went. Shenanigans ensue.
Summary
A fine dusting of chalk and charcoal coated his hands and chest from countless attempts to correct his blasted diagrams, a layer of grime and dried sweat sitting heavily on his skin. He ran shaking fingers over the bead of force hidden amongst his earrings and the nightshade capsule sewn into his shirt collar. The elven chain shirt sandwiched between his outer and undershirt rattled softly as he moved.
Resigning himself to another restless night, he stared up at the deep maroon canopy overhead.Essek dreamt of the Nein.
AKA Essek tugs on the strings of fate a little too hard and gives both himself and the Nein a bit of perspective as a result.
The story behind these lines from There’s a Bird in the Alleyway
“[T]he working girls who saved your life said you’ve done some stuff to help them out. Your gentlemanly ways are impressing them.”
“I don’t know if punching a creep in the face counts as being gentlemanly.”
Or, Nightwing accidentally earns the trust of Bludhaven's working girls by being "polite and smiley."
Summary
His plan had been effective, elegent, maybe a bit theatrical and dramatic but in a good way! That was... until he got doused with cuddle pollen, had his brother unwittingly thrown at him by some well meaning goons, and well...
Now he had a new plan with admittedly much simpler goals that his siblings and maybe some extended family get to come along for, willingly or otherwise.
