“We finally meet again.”
Till’s face scrunches up like a crumpled piece of paper. His eyebrows are furrowed and up so high, his eyes squinting yet wide. And his lips curve in all directions. He’s using every single nerve to try to piece together what the fuck is happening.
He flicks his tongue at his bottom lip to wet it. Like when you lick your thumb to grip the page in a book, he’s trying to somehow grip a thought to form.
Till blinks, and then he asks an octave higher than he’s used to, “I’m sorry. Who are you?”
The pretty stranger, Till deems him. Looks at him with this blanched look. His eyes widen, which almost seems impossible with how big they already are. Like a deer in the headlights. And he looks almost sad.
A new student transfers to the small countryside; mysterious, handsome, and claiming to know Till. But Till has no memory or idea of who this stranger is, should he?

Summary
Till had read a plethora of isekai stories, and from what he experienced. He would say that they did not get all the details right. Not that they had ever expected it to be true at all.
Till had landed here with no activation code and no system for him to use or navigate. Nothing to tell him what had him teleporting here, no blue portal that dropped him down. Which was fine! Truly, being forced to follow a plotline or locked in by certain rules would have driven him mad. Being just an OC in a large world made him truly happy.
Without a system to tell him what his stats were or what his mission was. He was on his own to figure out how he could get close to Demon Lord Ivan.

In the sunshine that bleeds into the open dojo, something dark catches his eye. Like a raven across the sky, the dark black feathers shine in hues of purples and brown like an oil spill.
Till’s eyes catch onto a person. The slope of their nose, the way their “W” shaped mouth, pouty, cupid's bow, soft, and heart-shaped, curve slightly upwards at the corners. Accentuated by the sun, their eyes burn like coals.

“‘Been waitin’ for you, sweetheart,” Till’s gruff voice greeted him before his sharp, all-knowing eyes did. One that seemed to eat him whole. He sat at the edge of the trunk with his legs hanging over it, his hands behind his back to hold him up, all at ease like the world was nothing but a play setting for him.
He pokes a finger toward Ivan’s chest, reveling at how Ivan’s shoulder rolled back at the small shove. “‘Thought you wouldn’t show.”
As if, Ivan scoffed, “Swim practice ran late.”
Till quirked a brow his way. They both knew he was lying.
Ivan and Till become kind of friends, friends who smoke weed together and flirt with each other late and night. Because they're friends.

Ivan's friend talked about her dad like he hung the stars in the sky. He was the funniest and sweetest guy you could ever know. And reliable too. I mean, he’d paid for her entire tuition without a single question. Which immediately made Ivan think he was great.
But to Ivan? His eyes were intense as they bore into him, fleeting looks from across the room that burned. He never said anything rude or ever roughly shook Ivan’s hand. And he never tried to size him up at all or question his ‘intentions’ with his daughter either.
But he hadn’t exactly… Talked to him. Not without her there. It’s like he didn’t know how. Ivan was positive that her father hated him.
And now Ivan would be watching after him while his friend was away. To make sure he was eating well, and to come with him to his Saturday dinners with his friends, like she always did.
Ivan's best friend asks him to keep an eye on her dad while she's away in an exchange program. He doesn't expect to fall for her father, who's almost two decades older than him.
