Summary
Everyday I make a list of my reasons to stay alive
It's a little convoluted, ranging from extremely important reasons to the most trivial thing like having a cup of tea in the morning
And it's hard to explain why I do it or why it works
But it does, and that's all that matters

Summary
Tina hated Leta Lestrange.
And yes it was a little embarrassing but she harboured a crush on Newt Scamander, a close acquaintance of hers but apparently Leta's best friend. Unlikely friends, odd friends, everyone-assumes-they’re-dating friends.
Leta was just so perfect, intimidatingly attractive while simultaneously a delicate beauty. And that enticing perfume she wore that made Tina go weak at the knees...
Tina totally hated Leta... right?

Summary
All Reagan wanted was control over her life.
But growing up with Tamiko and Rand Ridley as parents made that almost impossible.
It was suffocating.
A small part of her hoped that one day she'd rule the world.

Summary
The perks of heading Cognito Inc. is that Reagan has a lot more power at her disposal, and a lot more privacy now that she’s the one in charge. It’s not hurting anyone if she uses that power a little selfishly sometimes — at least, that’s what she tells herself to justify keeping tabs on one Ron Staedtler, now living a new life as Martin Higgins.
Everything’s fine, until Gigi and Brett find out, one after the other.

Summary
A typhoon is wild, untamable, and comes at the worst of times. But at the center of it, there is always a blooming Peach Tree, nervous of letting go of the beautiful crops decorating its crown. When the typhoon moves, the Tree has to decide; go with it, or keep to his roots. Most Trees would go, mesmerized by the typhoon's power. Not this one though. This one didn't learn Kung Fu for 20 years for that, and the rest of the Trees will make sure their roots are entangled for many years to come.

Summary
The very small door never opens again. It’s sealed by cement and placed behind a heavy bookshelf- and even if it wasn’t, there are only bricks behind it. The well is forced shut with chains and glue and heavy objects and ducktape- the most indestructible material in the world- and even if it wasn’t, that hole goes down forever, there is no bottom.
Coraline's parents wipe the snow and the cold off of them with confusion in their eyes- and though there is plenty to question, they don’t. They treat her better, or maybe they always had, or maybe her perspective was skewed- but they’re still kinda… them. Dull and frustrating and self centered, which is good, because that meant they were real.
(And even if they weren’t) Coraline wouldn’t be fooled easily again. She’d know if something was up.Coraline goes to bed, but she doesn’t sleep, too busy listening for the sound of fingernails tapping against the hardwood floors. She can hear her parents laughing with each other downstairs- which was rare for them, they usually argued when they thought she couldn’t hear them.
Weird. Coraline thinks, heart beating a little faster.
(She would know)
(Right?)
