It doesn’t matter how she felt about Nishiguchi, it doesn’t matter how much the other girl really genuinely cared about her, she had no choice but to turn her back on her. It was her best bet at surviving this hellhole, and no matter how horrifically shitty it makes her feel, she can’t allow herself to dwell on it. She didn’t have any other option. The Bleeding had forced her hand. She’s not a bad person.
At least, that’s what she has to tell herself. Over and over again, she has to justify it to herself. Because if she doesn’t, if she lets her regrets consume her, she may as well end up losing her goddamn mind.
