But now he knows that Snake not only has the look of a ken doll in tactical gear, he also hums off-key along with his favourite music, and always takes two glasses of water with his coffee, and likes interval training better than straight endurance runs, and cannot stand premade noodles, and presses his face against Hal’s shoulder when he falls asleep watching TV, and-

Summary
Wild and Twilight were the first ones of the bunch to get a nickname. Granted, they also were the first ones to meet up. At that time, the whole ‘meeting another Hero of Old’ wasn’t a thing yet, so the beginning was understandably a bit rough.
(A short one-shot turned into a multi-chapter piece about how the Chain met up together, one by one, and how they came up with their nicknames.)

Summary
Kisses Sweeter Than Wine - a popular song that comes from an Irish folk song, then notably adapted in the US by the Weavers (1951). I especially listened to the Jimmie Rodgers' version.
L'Aigle noir, by Barbara (1970) - The lyrics are inspired by a dream the singer had, and according to some interpretations of the song, the black eagle would represent Barbara's father who sexually abused her. The song has been used ever since as a symbol against child abuse.
500 miles, by the Hooters (1989) - The song is generally credited as being written by Hedy West (copyright from 1961), with other co-writers may be credited. “500 miles” is related to the older folk song "900 Miles", which may itself have origins in the Southern American fiddle tunes "Reuben's Train" and "Train 45". In their cover, the Hooters added lyrics dedicated to the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989.

He can see ghosts, which means he still has family. Still has Shisui, and all the aunts and uncles and cousins and distant relatives he didn’t even know before. Still has mother, her kind smile and her knowledge. Still has father, as well, although Fugaku stays distant most days, wallowing in regrets and things that make the air around him terribly cold.
Sasuke is glad, selfishly, for that small mercy.
He could have lived without the ghost drama, though....
Or: the one where Sasuke can see ghosts, and things aren't as bad as they could be.
