After the ship had a bit of a jumble, Purple had been feeling strange ever since. Headaches, sluggishness, random stomach pains, passing out occasionally, and also feeling inconveniently sleepy. Not to mention their bone was actively deteriorating.
Whatever was happening, they couldn't let it stop them. Crewmates were getting murdered and Purple was going to find out who the perpetrator was.
(AKA: the alien parasite effects someone else, and it takes over when the vessel sleeps.)

So, rather than dwelling on the fact that someone might figure out they may not be who they say they are, Purple focuses on making sure the crew doesn't die beyond what happened to White.
