Summary
Ilya’s bisexuality and various conquests have always been an immense source of insecurity for Shane, regardless of their current relationship status.
At the start of the season Ilya’s new team, the Ottawa Centaurs hire a social media and strategic initiatives manager. She’s a complicated individual, living her life in the gray area between right and wrong, and her reckless and borderline sociopathic behavior often wreaks havoc on those around her.
Driven by mixed motivations she’s focusing on the guarded Russian and she’s doing nothing to hid it - Ilya has never encountered someone like her, and he’s finding himself irrevocably captivated by her.
Heartbreak is often inevitable in life, not everyone gets a happy ending – not every love is meant to survive. And often there is an extreme personal cost when you covet someone that you really shouldn’t and abandon the one who loves you most.

“Okay,” Hollander says, voice cracking.
He doesn’t say anything else. The air’s so heavy around them that it feels like being in the middle of a scrum, the weight and heat of all those bodies pressing down on you. Danger always feels like hockey; it’s the most dangerous thing Ilya knows, except for this. Everything dangerous in his life involves men’s bodies and just how close he can get to them. Closer than he probably should.
A year after mysteriously dropping out of the 2009 draft, Shane Hollander is signed by the Boston Raiders, right behind Ilya Rozanov. Having the two biggest stars in the league on the same line is great for Boston — but playing alongside their worst rival was never exactly in Shane or Ilya's plans. Especially not when staying away from each other starts to feel just as impossible as getting along.

Summary

She snorts, “None taken.”
“Then how did you say… make baby?”
They both look at Shane, who fidgets under their gazes. He splutters. He sighs. He runs his hand through his hair. Then, he sighs again.
“The first time when I managed… to…” He talks to the cushion in his lap as he says this, “I was thinking of Ilya. It worked too well, I guess.”
