Summary
Miyano, a university student majoring in creative writing who loves BL, is a barista at The Shortcake Cafe, one of the luckiest jobs for any fudanshi to have. He believes that a coffee shop meet-cute is one of the best genres of BL and being front and center to all types of couples (potential or otherwise) coming and going into the cafe is nothing less of a blessing for him.
Then, one day, when a friend of his manager and senpai, Hirano, comes in, he finds himself thrust into the same classic BL genre that he fantasizes about daily, but this time as the hapless barista. Louis had thought that he’d enrolled himself into a normal, albeit a little out-of-the-ordinary English class when he signed up for “Imaginative English and the Arts.” Maybe he’d just have to be a bit more creative than usual. He was always up for a challenge.

The line goes silent. A heavy, eerie silence that settles over the room like a shroud. She knows what Eddie must be feeling right now—the cold shock, the hollow ache, the frantic disbelief. But then there’s a screech through the phone, followed by an extended, blaring honk.
Karen’s stomach drops. Her eyes dart to Hen’s, wide with alarm.

Harry just blinks at his phone. "Um," he manages to stammer out.
"Who's that, Harry?" Nick asks again, but this time he raises his eyebrows and smirks. Harry knows Nick is just teasing, and that he's not really looking for new Harry Styles gossip, but, um. He might have found something. Accidentally.
Harry opens his mouth to speak, but all that comes out is another 'um'. He really needs to work on translating his thoughts into words. But then it probably wouldn't be any help right now, would it? His mind is as blank as a newly erased etch-a-sketch.
"Oh," Nick says again, this time gleefully, seemingly having picked up on Harry's distress. "Looks like we've got a story here! Are you going to call or delete her number?"
Her number. So Nick thinks it's a girl. Well, Harry can't blame him: 'Lou' is kind of an androgynous nickname. His stylist's name is Lou.
But this Lou, well, Louis, he's kind of, really, really not a girl. He's really pretty though, which, is something.
(Or: AU where Harry's in One Direction, Louis isn't, and they reconnect over a game of 'Call or Delete'.)

this of course culminates with buck surprise-visiting eddie’s new firehouse, when eddie immediately panic-hugs him in front of everyone so he can whisper into buck’s ear “they think you’re my boyfriend, i’ll explain later, please just go with it” and buck takes 0.2 seconds to process before loudly going “hi sweetheart, i missed you so much!” and keeping his arm around eddie the whole time as he meets everyone"

It was 3A.M in the morning when Buck was awakened by a muffled cry from Christopher's room. He ignored the sudden dizziness that hit him when he stood up and ran to his room with his heart hammering in his chest.
"Chris? Hey, hey, I'm here..." he said while walking in the deep dark of the night. When his legs hit the bed, he hurried to sit and hug the little boy, who rapidly grabbed Buck's shirt with his hands, not wanting to let go. "It's over, bud, I'm here..."
"Dad..." his whole body stiffened when that word left Chris' mouth in a broken sob.
"Chris-!" Eddie stopped his little run after finding Buck with his son holding his shirt for dear life, Buck hugging him tightly while caressing Chris' curls with his left hand, letting him rest in his chest.
"Yes, kid, it's me, Buck..." Eddie stared at the scene a few seconds too long with his eyes sparkling and itching hands, wanting to join the two most precious people in his life. Just as he was about to walk in, Christopher hugged Buck even more tight.
"Dad..."

5 times Christopher called Buck "dad" and that 1 time Eddie finally did something about it.
