Ryland Grace and Rocky arrived at Erid almost 7 months ago, and Grace is far more lonely than he expected to be. Rocky is worried for him, but nothing can make up for the lack of human connection.
A group of Eridians patrolling space discover an odd looking ship, labeled SM-13, passing their planet, and discover a human inside. A man.
This man doesn’t know how he got here, only that the last he remembered, he was in a blood ocean facing certain death.
Grace must break a traumatized man out of his shell, while also working through his own repressed trauma.
Or: Two touch starved men must communicate their needs, work through their trauma, and build a domestic life on an alien planet.

“This okay?” Simon muttered, the vibrations from his words rippling across Grace’s stomach.
“Yes… yes I just…” Grace struggled to catch his breath. “This was not how I was expecting tonight to go.”
Simon paused his kisses. “How did you see this going?”
“I don’t know. We would… talk about it?”
“Do you want to talk instead?”
Grace couldn’t even remember what he wanted to say. Actually, there were no words that described what he wanted. “No. No, keep going.”

Slowly, they get to know one another, despite Simon potentially being a war criminal from a moon with an ocean full of blood. Simon can’t tell if Grace actually glances down to his lips as he puts his glasses back on his nose or if it’s just his own wishful thinking, as it happened in the blink of an eye, if it happened at all. “I, uh, was wondering, only if, well, I-,” Grace quickly averts his gaze, shaking his head with a nervous laugh, “You know what, never-”
Still reeling too much from his debatably imagined glace, Simon reaches across Grace’s space, placing his hand down in the space between Grace’s thigh and his hand. “Use your words, Grace.” One of his brows twitch, not nearly as patient as Grace is. “I hate guessing games, so spit it out.”
The nervous grin never leaves Grace’s lips and the bulb above the stove highlights the way blood rushes to his cheeks.

Summary
