Everything was great up until Izuku turned 4. He lived a happy life with his mom and dad. He smiled and laughed without a care in the world. Every Saturday he would go play with his best friend Katsuki (or, to him, Kacchan), at the park while their moms chatted and laughed along with each other. He drew pictures that his mom would hang on the refrigerator and played heroes until he was so sleepy he couldn’t keep his eyes open anymore. He had always felt loved. He had always felt safe with his family. Why wouldn’t he, right?
The day after his mom- mother had taken him to the quirk specialist, and learned Izuku would most likely not develop a quirk of his own, his life had taken a drastic turn for the worst.

But in the two and a half weeks that he has been there, it’s like their world flipped. Everything seemed brighter and more colorful. Midoriya already knew he was different from most.
A lot of media portrayed different as being a good thing, but a lot of the time, they never outlined how hellish it could be. How someone could be the wrong type of different.
Like him: Quirkless, a male omega, a prime omega, more so, and on the heavier side of chubby. He was the embodiment of ‘whatever can go wrong will go wrong’.
So much so that he’s being fired from his job of being an assistant to a pro hero. Or- heroes…
Heroes that, actually don’t want to leave him alone once they’ve met him. But Midoriya learned his lesson, and he wants no part in whatever their game is.
Yet, he gets pulled in anyway.
