    It felt impossible to find someone like him, much like someone who had feelings for him, it was just a crush (if you can even call mild annoyance for a pretty face a crush). But will didnt mind the company, and didnt mind keeping it all to himself... the last thing he wanted to be was yet another burden for the others.

    Post–Season 4. (Eddie is dead. Billy is alive. Max out of the hospital.)
    Will is staying in Mike’s basement and slowly falling apart- self harm, anorexia, depression..
    Mike sees it happening, he loves and cares for Will but still doesn’t know what to do.
    As Will begins to find comfort in self-destruction, Billy is where it leads him.
    ...

    Or:
    Mike and Will push each other away, convinced it’s the right thing - destroying themselves in the process - when all they really need is each other.

    (This fic is not a pure Byler story! - Will’s toxic relationship with Billy is a major element and eventually causes serious conflicts and drama between Mike and Will)
