A handsomely stern man gripped his hand, and didn't say anything, or move around. In contrast to the doctors and nurses moving him around and poking him with needles and calculating stares, the man simply held his hand and looked at him like he was about to fall apart.
He looked scary, like death itself. Was he the grim reaper? Was he going to take him away?
His breathing picked up, he tried to squirm. Everything was too bright, too much. So much pain. He could only feel the grim reaper's hand holding his. The doctors started fussing over him more, and forced the grim reaper to let go of his hand.
He couldn't be more thankful.
“Seong Gihun-ssi, can you hear me?”

It is easier to pray that when he awakens, it will all have been a dream, and he will wake up as a kid again. There will be Jung-bae, and there will be Sang-woo. And when they rush out to the playground, they will play only for their pride, and not for their lives.
Seong Gi-hun closes his eyes, and falls asleep.
When he wakes up, he is still in the car, but everything is different.

After winning the games, Gi-hun is knocked out in a limousine. When he wakes up, he finds himself in the body of the Front Man- the man behind the games. To make matters worse, the Front Man is in Gi-hun's body.

He already has to wait so he might as well do something productive for his body while he’s at it. AKA get food. God, he needs to eat. He’s going insane. So, he just walks into the closest open food shop that looks halfway decent - there aren’t many open and there are even less that look worth going into. However, he’s desperate at this point and he might perish on the spot if he doesn’t consume whatever food the nearest place has.
He walks into the place, the ding from the door ringing through the shop, and he immediately feels poorer, he feels like the simple action of breathing in the air from this pitiful shop has cost him money even though he hasn’t even bought a damn thing. It’s like simply being inside the four walls of this place is making him worth less money.
Ugh, gross.

“This drink is wrong,” A man- a customer- an asshole (though, Salesman thinks all of his customers are assholes; but, hey, at least this one is a hot asshole) says, placing his drink back on the counter next to the cash register, “my brother is allergic to dairy.”
“Boohoo,” Salesman responds on instinct before realizing that’s not really how he’s supposed to talk to his customers.
Oh well.
What’s gonna happen to him? He gets fired? Sometimes sacrifices have to be made for his sanity (if he even has any of that).
“Excuse me?”
Salesman grins, bringing his briefcase up and placing it onto the counter, in between him and the customer, “Would you like to play a game with me?”
It’s fun, watching the customers squirm under what they feel like is an “unusual” request. Salesman has a difficult time seeing it as unusual, though. His usual customers are used to it and, sometimes, they even manage to get a free coffee out of it if they win while Salesman gets to have his fun.
That’s a win-win situation if he’s ever heard of one.
