_________________________________________About a month into his assignment, Hawks received the order from The League to take down a Pro, naturally he’d called the President and asked for her assistance.
“What is it Hawks.”
“Yo Madam Prez, so I was talking to my contact the other day-”
“Get to it Hawks, I’m busy.”
“They want me to kill a Pro.”
“And why are you contacting me?”
“What- because I can’t-”
“Are you aware of Jeanist’s current condition? He is not in condition to defend himself in the case of any attack or accident that should befall him. You were instructed to do anything necessary to gain the League of Villain’s trust, do not contact me again Hawks until you have a place among their ranks.”
The line promptly went dead and Hawks came to the horribly realization of exactly what this mission was.
A suicide attempt wrapped in political favors and unpaid debts.

Lance and Keith meet six days into their second term at the Galaxy Garrison and lets say it doesn't go well. But these two are gonna have to figure things out quick if Lance, Hunk and Pidge want to not get booted from the Garrison by crazy Commander Iverson.

The whole situation was just ridiculous he couldn’t help but scoff. But this got some unwanted attention
“You got a problem?” and without missing a beat “Mullet-head.”
“Yeah, I do. You are NOT the best pilot here.” Blue Eyes stared him down marched right up to Keith,
“Yeah?” he said, “Think you’re better Robert Smith?”
Keith let his frown shift to a smirk, “Yeah, Valdez, I do.” Blue eyes stood there for a second as if he was trying to read what he was thinking, and then with a smirk said,
“Cuban, not Mexican. But nice try Di Angelo.” he said grinning like the idiot he was. That smile, those blue eyes, god he was obnoxious, Keith groaned,
“Whatever, Peter Parker” the kid chuckled a bit at that one, before turning on his heel to leave. Which meant, Keith won this round. He leaned back in his chair triumphantly.
Then Blue Eyes looked back over his shoulder flashing a smile,
“Lance… my name, it’s Lance.”

Great alt character study. Not really slash, more fix it style. Solid writing & story
Comment: “Ugh this is So Good I’m obsessed. I was enthralled with the setup of Aerion’s ego being usurped by fear from the assassination attempt. But then the entire work was so well executed, Aerion’s personality change was enough to be significant, while still feeling familiar enough to not be completely alien. It was still him, just with more internal conflict and self-doubt. I so thoroughly enjoyed reading this, by far the highest caliber work I’ve read so far in the Dunkaerion tag. Lovely job, thank you for sharing your writing!”

Fantastic writing that was expertly poetic without being hyperbolic or self aggrandizing like purple prose. Really phenomenal handle on character and internal monologues & thought process.
Liam, Theo, and Nolan’s POVs were all wonderfully handled. But I was also really impressed with Corey (in Liam’s POV). There’s one scene in particular I loved but he’s also just a core part of the fic & written well. There’s another little moment with Mason (again from Liam’s POV) that’s lovely.
Author’s handle on interpersonal relationships is impressive. How characters think and then how they behave because of it. They also do a great job of subverting expectations without being disconcerting.
Actual plot is great too. Not a massive action adventure but still high stakes & some consequences and difficulties with those stakes. An interesting story where I was genuinely surprised and shook by things that happened.
Has a few great moments of Liam witnessing Theo’s humanity & it causing turmoil cause he’s still trying to convince himself Theo is bad.
I also didn’t expect to enjoy Nolan as much as I did, he’s usually not a character I’m particularly interested in but was handled well. Fic really acknowledges his role as the pawn by both sides of the war.
Definitely heed the Trigger Warnings though.

(Referenced rape. Manipulation: love bombing, coercion, gaslighting, diminishing, infantilizing, threats).Plus canon-typical stuff w/ violence, kidnapping & torture, Theo’s homelessness, trauma, injury & stunted healing, self-loathing etc.
I think the two TW to be cautious of a really the relationship abuse one & the hallucinations as both are fairly graphic and central to sections of the fic.
It’s a great fic though, as this essay probably shows.

Such a fun and heartwarming read.
Wally is sent to Bart’s apocalyptic future when he disappears in s2. He rescues Bart from the Reach, so that Bart can rescue the timeline. Heartwarming family bonding in the future + Detective Dick Grayson in the present.
One of my favorite Bart featured fics to date, though it is more Wally-centric.

Summary
With his co-pilot Natsuo injured after a particularly bad Kaiju battle and their Zenith class Jaeger in pieces, star pilot Keigo is forced to stay idle for a while. Snooping around the Shatterdome out of sheer boredom one day, he picks up on some unsettling rumors about a huge Kaiju wave that’s bound to hit their region within the next weeks.
In order to save the understaffed base and actually the whole country too, he goes looking for the only other Zenith class pilot far and wide: the missing Touya Todoroki.
But as it turns out, he’s leading a different life under a new name now and has no interest in ever getting back into a Jaeger. He’s done with piloting; he’s done with letting other people into his mind; and he most certainly is done with being anywhere near his father.As Keigo attempts to convince Dabi to try again for the sake of humanity, he more and more feels like he’s getting to know someone he already has memories of. But during all his years as a pilot, he had never seen this man before.
So why does it feel like Dabi and him are already in some kind of drift?
