"Thank you, but I assure you it is nothing," Mr. Bridgerton said. "Goodnight." He managed to make it to the door before he staggered and collapsed, as his legs no longer could support him.
Sophie rushed to his side. She pulled his coat aside and stared in horror as his entire right side was stained with dark red blood, nearly black by how sodden his shirt and undone waistcoat were.
"Mr. Bridgerton, you're bleeding!" she exclaimed.
It was so much blood — too much blood. Mr. Bridgerton needed a doctor, but how could she fetch one at this time of night, with the storm? They were completely isolated from the rest of the world, which meant that Benedict Bridgerton's life was in Sophie's hands.
Or, what if Benedict's injury was just a little bit worse?

Thanks to some research done by Anya, the escape in Spiral is to a different dimension, where hopefully they should be safe from Glory’s all-powerful grasp until the window for the apocalypse passes. But trying to get home will be another matter altogether, in a world where humans are slaves, vampires undergo peculiar transformations, and Cordelia Chase is the messiah. Reuniting with old friends doesn’t guarantee things will get any easier, especially if their enemies also team up to maintain the status quo. What does it mean to be The Key? Summary
Stephanie Barnes is an overworked, single mother and the head of philanthropy for Stark Industries. Once upon a time, she was Captain America, and her stress came from fighting Nazis. Now, her stress comes from quarterly budget predictions, organizing fundraising benefits, and raising her son as best she can in her husband's memory. With haranguing from her friend, Toni Stark, Stephanie decides to take her mandated vacation days and go to Washington D.C. to see friends and visit museums. Every possible thing that could go wrong on this vacation does go wrong, and Stephanie is left fighting for her life, facing enemies she thought she left in history. A mysterious assassin is making Stephanie feel things she hasn't felt since the death of her husband, which is quite inconvenient because he's trying to kill her.
Stephanie will have to shatter the false security and misplaced optimism of the future and force everyone, including herself, to confront bitter, painful reality. And then, she will have to help rebuild.

Missing Chris is less of an emotion these days and more of a physical entity. He’s sure everyone can see that he’s slowly hollowing himself out, that he can’t do much of anything else.
But when Jee laughs at him trying to get his tongue to touch his nose, and Mara loops one of her arms through his to keep him from tossing the rest of his cup in the garbage, Eddie feels solid again.
Maybe he likes yellow birthday cake ice cream after all.
(or, gerrard messes with the team's schedules and eddie 'i just drove my son to flee the state' diaz is the only option to watch mara and jee-yun after school on tuesdays, which, shouldn't be a problem at all, right?)
