Summary
He got his reward and said his final goodbyes to those he loved, ensuring that they would live, because the Doctor never intended to let himself regenerate into the monster he had known for centuries he would become in his thirteenth body. But time is not ready to let its champion go, not when someone, or something, is working to shatter all of reality. Still reeling from the most violent regeneration he has ever experienced, the Doctor discovers that fixed points in time have been altered, seemingly without consequence - his children, whom he has mourned for centuries, are impossibly alive and in terrible danger.
Stolen from various points in time, Tegan, Nyssa, Adric, and Ace find themselves on a small planet in one of the darkest corners of the universe, the prisoners of a race that finds it thrilling to hunt others for sport.

Summary
Time can be rewritten - the Doctor knows this better than most. But he also knows that there are a number of fixed points in time which can never be altered without devastating consequences. So when the impossible happens, when four of his lost children are restored to him without explanation, he knows better than to call it a miracle.
As he works to unravel the mystery surrounding their survival and figure out a way to keep them safe, the Doctor is confronted by every single one of his regrets. Unable and unwilling to lose his children a second time, he must navigate through uncharted waters and let himself heal from wounds that have been festering for centuries so that he can help his son and daughters heal too.
All the while, an ancient evil is waiting in the shadows for the opportunity to strike, for the chance to destroy the Doctor's legacy evermore.

Shane Hollander has built himself around routine, his life blood is hockey. Struggling to understand his team off the ice and the people around him, he carves out a few silent hours to himself. It's just him and his skates. But the hard fought peace is fragile, like cracks in too thin ice. It only takes a slight impact to shatter. Shane is fighting to hold his team and himself together as everything comes crashing down around him.
Someone hacks into Rose Landry's phone in a club, they then release the images of Shane's texts online and all hell breaks loose. Shane is left to pick up the pieces. Ilya makes some choices in the aftermath that change everything. Shane decides to stop hiding and Ilya is a possessive asshole who makes it everyone else's problem. With far less reason to hide himself anymore, Shane begins to show more of who he really is behind the polite, media worthy façade. They instead find a team who are ready to fight the world for each other and a found family that has far reaching threads.
Maybe Shane can have both Hockey and Ilya. The world will just have to deal with it.
