Merlin clung to Morgana with a cry and Arthur felt the wildness of his magic rising up weakly around them until he relented and let Merlin curl his body over her prone one.
“She’s gone, Merlin. I’m sorry, she’s gone,” he whispered. Letting out a sob of his own, Arthur bowed over to press his forehead to Merlin’s shoulder, wrapping the man in a hug over the woman they’d spent the last couple years trying to save.
“She saved me. In the end she chose us, I couldn’t leave her.”

Summary
Magnus had known for days that something was going on with Alec; that he was working through something. So, it hadn’t been all that much of a surprise when Alec had come home saying they needed to talk. Well, not so much that they needed to talk, but more that Alec needed to tell him something.
The last thing he’d been expecting was for Alec to flip open the box, exposing its contents; dozens of bound journals he recognised immediately. Truth be told he hasn’t thought about those journals in years.
And Magnus’ stomach drops. Because it’s been, what… two? three? days since Magnus last saw his boyfriend and Alec looks destroyed. For a moment Magnus wondered if he’s missed something big happening but then his brain caught up and Magnus realised that Alec wasn’t injured and that he wasn’t just exhausted.
It’s heartbreak –Alec is heartbroken– and Magnus’ head spun because he knows it’s because of him.

Fris’ gentle hands washed the blood from him as Thorin stood motionless, letting his mother dictate his every move as she gently got him clean. Coaxing him out of his blood-soaked slacks and into a pair of clean jean and then nudging his arms up so she could strip off his button down and pull a t-shirt on him as if he were a child again.
There used to be a time when he could do this. Where he could watch a dear friend flatline and pull them back and then continue on like he hadn’t just held a friend’s life in his hands. How had he ever managed to lock so much of himself away to be able to function normally after doing such a thing.
(or, Bell goes undercover in Erebor (the Durin's gemstone empire) to protect the Durins, Frerin decides here and now is when he's going to show off his Durin temper and Thorin simultaneously ships them harder than anyone in existence, hates that they're into each other and angsts all over absolutely everything)

Watching Steve sit alone that first day- even with his ex and her new squeeze crowding his table- former King of Hawkins High with his bruised up face and puppy dog eyes, and apparently, knight in shining armor tendencies, Eddie never stood a chance.
It's Jeff, in the end, that finally badgers Eddie enough to let Steve be dragged over to their table- into Hellfire, and Dungeons & Dragons, and hopefully right into Eddie's arms- after Steve intervenes to stop Jeff being harrassed in the halls.
Now Eddie just needs to figure out what he's going to do with all of it.

Draco’s face crumpled. “I’m sorry Harry, there is no way back.” It was like a bell had been struck inside Harry’s head - all he could hear was ringing. “There’s no where to go back to,” Draco moaned. “He wasn’t just trying to travel in time - he was trying to obliterate his own.” Draco choked on his tears. “There’s nothing ahead of this to travel to yet Harry.” He let out a few more hiccuping tears before finally suppressing his noises of pain. “There is no going back,” he whispered.
