Tubbo couldn't say he didn't want to try out for the mission, he had worked and trained most of his young life to do something like that but as the youngest in the whole program, he was sure his boss and the higher-ups would take one look at his application and just laugh and shred it. It hurt, he didn’t want to hold back but he know that it would hurt more to be rejected for some dumb reason as his age, he was well qualified! But he knew Schlatt was a major dickbag, his application would even make it any higher.

The thing giggled, swimming close to where Techno, he looked young, maybe around the human child's age? They stared up at him with large, brown eyes, pupils large. Techno slowly crouched down to the level of the mermaid, his own brown eyes staring back, it seemed to make the mermaid happy, tail slapping the water's surface like a dog.
They reached out a hand out of the water, Extending it out to Techno possibly to hold. Their nails were sharp like cat claws, thin membrane between each finger, the claws were what was most worrying to him, this thing probably ate meat due to his fangs and claws which meant they could eat him if they wanted! He didn’t really feel like fish food, not something he's interested in at the moment.

There was a small and secluded spot on the sea edge surrounded by trees and tall rocky hills. Tubbo liked to lay on one of the large flat rocks and bathe in the sun and watch the clouds. Sometimes the sky is dark and it rains. He loves it when that happens, depending how bad the storm is there would be flashing lights in the sky and roars in the sky that can shake the ground.
Today was a very slow day. Tubbo laid in his little borrow, watching the crabs and fish go by and the sunbeams shining through the water surface. He grumbled to himself, cursing the face there was no one around ever for the millionth time. Soon, he pushed himself up off the ground, there was nothing good to do, he had already cleaned his green scales, webbings, and fins till shiny, he hunted and played around with a fish school. So he went to the next best place, that hidden beach.

Normally, Ritsu would feel embarrassed to be doted on like this. He wasn’t a child anymore (in his mind, at least), and he was perfectly fine taking care of himself; he always had been. Ritsu was the independent one, the child his parents never had to worry about because they trusted he could handle himself. The child who still showed up to school when he was sick, because he had a perfect attendance record to uphold, and it was what everyone expected of him.
