Out on the training fields of Paradise, it's only them. There are certainly perks to being Margaret's chosen guard, and one of them is access to these well-kept grounds for sparring at nearly all hours. Their light training clothes, white and flowing to allow flexible movement, that they wear gleams in the midday sun, as the two of them put the training grounds to full use. It's important to keep up their skills and abilities, so this is yet another time where she and Kal have found themselves out here. Practice makes perfect, after all, and Ahlaam keeps herself up to those high standards.
Kal just lets out a frustrated groan, retorting loudly with—
"You've got Movement!"

Samuel freezes.
For a moment, he can't breathe.
That sentence hits him like a raging wave, dragging him underwater, with how casually it is said adding all the more to that sudden, shocking sensation. The fact that those words are thrown off-hand, like they matter nothing at all, despite them being so horrible shakes him down to his core. He is robbed of all of his responses completely, and all he can think of is—
Mom. Dad.

Nemo's hardly unused to battle. Both real and projected, though real battle is a quite a different struggle than that of Illusion. Life or death, surrender not something that can be faced. Still, this isn't the first time pirates have decided to board their deck. They've stormed across it, but it's a tide that the Bonadventure's crew is surely pushing back into the depths. Many of them are already unable to fight back. The battle is turning in their favor—but the fight's not fully won yet.
So, the enemies that are remaining should be what's keeping his attention.

Summary
Dakkar’s been up too long. He knows he’s been up too long. His gaze is slightly fuzzy at the edges, eyes burning. His hair is tied back in a messy ponytail, strands loosely falling out as he stares down at the textbook pages that just won’t make sense.
But he can’t go to sleep yet.
Internal injuries have always been tricky. They are so much harder to treat, with a tendency to react badly to the Ways when ruptured just the wrong ways. It takes a skilled Healer to know exactly which way to weave the spell, magic spinning through the circulatory system—especially when responding alone, only one person to deal with it all.
Dakkar has been attempting to figure out a way to weave one such spell in a minute flat.
