Coffee with the sweet mascarpone cream…” Nahida slumps against her chair, casting her face towards the dome ceiling of the lecture hall, the little circular hole appearing white, like a sun that overlooks the sky. “I’m blaming you for this, Suisen. And you’re treating me some tiramisu once class’s over.”
Leaning his cheek against his hand, Suisen stares at his best friend. Nahida, who never seems to understand what people are saying, but always listens attentively regardless. Nahida, who dances with the birds and leaves, just as much as she sings along with the crowds on the chorus. You do not belong in the monotony of the lecture halls and the tall towers of the Akademiya, he often thinks to himself, of her. You belong out there in the world, admiring everything there is to be seen, being loved by everyone there is to see you.
“We don’t have to wait until class is over, do we?”
(In some other reality, they can be just two ordinary people living mundane lives, admiring the beautiful complexities of the world just as is, and nothing more.)

Summary
Ever since she was but a wee babe, toddling about, Nicole was a special child. Or so Alice had heard. She may be incredibly talented, but even she couldn't retain memories from when she was so young. But she had heard plenty of stories told and retold over and over again by Nicole's family, all dramatically spinning tales about how she excelled in certain areas to the point of petrifying genius, while being years (decades, in the case of Nicole's verbal speech) behind her peers in others.
When she reached preteen ages, Nicole developed interests that consumed her entire being in a way that was different from other children. This, Alice could remember. She remembered not seeing Nicole for weeks, and eventually climbing up to the second story window and banging on it with her fists until she was let in, filled with worry for her closest friend. Only to find that she had been swallowed in by stories and fairytales of all sorts, and completely lost track of the real world in her passion, instead of being victim to a fatal accident like Alice had feared.
Alice finds Nicole in the depths of a new fixation, and is well aware of how infatuated she is with her.

Ever since being declared both Deacon of the Church, but their Herald of Barbatos, too, Dahlia has fallen into a routine. He halfheartedly bats his hands at the sunlight that crosses over his eyes in the morning, standing from his bed to stretch, then proceeds to dress in his Church attire—brushing his hair, and carefully rubbing a paste across his fangs, before sending out a quick morning prayer that usually has a breeze kick up in the room to ruffle at the hair he had just done. After that, he opens the door to his house, and makes his way through the streets of Mondstadt; having far made it a habit to take note of everyone that he passes by.
Today was supposed to be another usual, normal day for him, too.
It goes on to be anything but.

What is meant to be a temporary situation becomes anything but as the new roommates and part-time parents grow fond of the young girl, and this unexpected situation brings them closer than they have ever been before.
Meet Sharzad: thoroughly confused former Genshin player, current resident of Sumeru City, and host to weird video game powers called the System that keep making her lose the 50/50 on weapons she desperately needs.
Aware of the destructive possible future of Teyvat, Sharzad attempts to train and grow her reputation as a student in the Sumeru Akademiya. However, Sumeru isn't peaceful before the Archon Quests begin, and she realises that she needs more than just intelligence and weak combat skills to win the game the gods who reincarnated her (and Celestia) are playing.
Genshin's story is pyrrhic in many ways, but with a new (chaotic) player on the field, perhaps its ending will be different.
