“What are you talking about?” Grace's fingers played quick chords as he spoke. He didn’t even look as he did it, but it did not make them any less purposeful.
“Discussing possible reasons why Tau Ceti is not infected while other stars are,” Eva replied deftly. “I would invite you to join, but we were just finishing—”
“Oh, that’s easy.” His hand twisted a knob, and the notes came out sharper. “It is infected—Petrova Line and everything.”
In Grace's opinion, dreaming about time traveling is no excuse for getting out of practice with his Eridian. To the rest of the Petrova Taskforce, it seems a bit odd that their resident Astrophage expert has suddenly taken to carrying a keyboard around and playing it whenever he speaks. Eva Stratt resolves to figure out what is going on.

Summary
There was going to be a Ritual soon in New York. Of course, this meant the already busy city was suddenly overrun with locals and tourists alike arriving to watch the spectacle.
The Baroness was safety from this chaos, a comforting haven for the Drifter and for the Doorman, but after the clock strikes midnight, and guests begin settling down, there's a piercing scream.
Someone has been murdered, the body left covered in gore. Fingers immediately point to Drifter, but Doorman isn't going to give him up that easily. It was time to find the real culprit.

Summary
"You’ve been avoiding me.” The Doorman stated, amused sounding, “Quite impolite of you.”
The Drifter snarled in response and swung out at where he guessed the other’s torso would be. There was a tearing sound, a mix of cloth, meat, and something unnatural, before the hand on his neck released him. He immediately whirled, teeth bared and claws at the ready, only to find the Doorman merely adjusting his cuffs and affixing him with an unimpressed raise of his brow. There was no sign of damage on him, as though the wound that he had felt had never existed at all. Bastard.
The Drifter learns what it feels like to be hunted.

“It’ll only be till sunrise,” Drifter states, as if that would convince Mirage any more.
“You can’t come in here.” Mirage stands his ground.
Drifter keeps grinning but Mirage can tell his smile is faltering ever so slightly. He’s still holding his side with his blood stained hands. “And why is that?”
“Look at you. You’re shameful, covered head to toe in blood.” Mirage says it with so much malice that he almost feels guilty. Drifter looks down at the blood coating his body, staining his arms and clothes. He sighs.
“What if I told ya it wasn’t someone else’s blood?”

Summary
Desire sparks in those crimson irises, sets fire to Doorman’s pseudo-flesh and primmed attire. He has no hormones to speak of, no chemical mailmen to tell his arousal to do this and that, and yet the feeling persists. Bubbles, broils. Fetches sweaty glimpses of last week, and the week before that. Faux blood rushes to Doorman’s freckled cheeks; turns a god’s attempt at humanity into the faintest blush; curves Drifter’s crooked smile at its edges. They dig this hole deeper everyday. Doorman pretends not to see the ladder.
The Baroness has a pest problem. Doorman deals with a pesky raccoon.

Summary
In the long time Drifter had known the Doorman, there were a few things he knew the god wouldn't do.
One, Doorman wouldn't come to him willingly.
Two, the god wouldn't engage in unnecessary physical contact with him.
So when Doorman appeared at his hotel room without reason, Drifter was already mildly on edge.

Summary
There was no flaw in his design, no alignments out of place. In fact, he knew that the opposite was true. Every facet of this vessel, every inch, curve, follicle, mark, hair, had been poured over with obsessive detail. His brain, decades in the making, was nothing short of a near perfect imitation, truly his magnum opus. Designed to accurately process and respond to the world’s stimulus in order to grant him as authentic an experience as possible during his excursion to the material plane. This… particular reaction may have been admittedly disregarded in his schematics, but nevertheless remained as an intentional byproduct of his dedication to his craft. Simply put, he had made this body too well.
____A NSFW story about the Doorman learning interesting new information about his body.
