“Thanks.” Tyler hugged him tightly after school, when they met up in Josh’s treehouse – like they had almost every day for the last ten years. Josh loved spending time with his best friend there, even if the space was far too small for them now.
They had long outgrown their childhood hideout. Sitting side by side was a squeeze, and standing upright hadn’t been possible for years – something they had learned the hard way through plenty of bruises and scrapes.
