Leo blinks as the words filter through his brain. “Wait, did you… steal Donnie’s wallet? Michael. I’m so proud.”
“Noooooo!” Mikey snickers, like a liar. “He just leaves stacks of bills around his lab sometimes! And Dad’s always telling him to clean up, yeah? I’m just doing my brotherly duty and lending a hand!”
Leo cackles, using his free hand to scrub the top of Mikey’s head in an adjusted noogie. “You are completely in the right and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Now, help me finish this so I don’t get a cramp, and we can be on our way, yeah?” Smooth as anything, he tears the donut in two, making sure to hold the half with more cream out towards his brother.
Mikey’s smile fades a bit, but bolsters a second later. And when he reaches out to take the offered half-donut, something anxious and fluttering in Leo’s chest settles.
Or: just because you love someone doesn’t mean you understand them.

“Alright, then,” Josuke says loudly, grinning widely as he walks up to Giorno, “you’ve got yourself a deal.”
Giorno nods once, a slight smile rising on his face, and sticks his hand out. When Josuke grasps it and gives it a firm shake, something electric hangs in the air between them. Somehow, Josuke can’t help but feel as though the whole world just shifted a little to the left.
Or, an alternative take: in which the Morioh trio tags along with Buccellati's squad to protect Trish, and everything changes for the better.

As he does this the prisoner starts forward again, cautious and slow, but Usopp doesn’t rush them. With a shaking hand they pick up the yellow pencil and draw a graceful 3. They point to Usopp and repeat his name, then tap the 3 and their own chest. “Sanji,” they say, and their tone is an odd mix of melancholy and sarcasm.
“Sanji,” Usopp echoes, and gives a thumbs-up.

“Gojo Satoru.” She snaps her fingers in front of his face, disturbing his hyper-locked in view of the phone screen, and he blinks, the world coming back into focus.
“Huh?” He says.

Satoru makes an iffy sort of hand gesture. It was somewhere around there, who knows really. He can’t remember all that.
“Okay, so I say this with the full weight of well over a decade of…” She pauses, thinking.
“Friendship.” He supplies, nodding.
She stares at him dead-eyed.
“Acquaintanceship?” He tries, failing to stop the pout.
“Proximity.” She decides firmly.
