They were barely over a week into the trip when the majority of Erik’s surface thoughts shifted from the boring, mundane types that every person had and thoughts about the mutants they were recruiting to thoughts of a different sort entirely. The same types of thoughts Charles was having about him, the ones that he was trying desperately to ignore out of the need to keep their relationship friendly yet professional and not scare Erik away with yet another frightening thing Charles couldn’t control.
When they embarked for the trip, Erik made Charles promise to stay out of his head. Charles is trying his best, but Erik thinks very loudly.

When Steve Rogers walks down the runway, Tony Stark stops breathing. He must have this man as a client - he can make him the biggest movie star the world has ever known.
And then they meet, and Steve opens his mouth, and that accent nearly kills Tony. He makes Steve a bet - in six months, he can make even Anna Wintour think that Steve graduated from Phillips Exeter, and in return, Steve will let Tony sign him as a client.
Steve takes the bet, thinking he has nothing to loose.
And then he learns that the rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain, that he could have danced all night, and that the world will still run without Tony Stark, but goddamn if he wants it to.

“Not a big deal?” Tony’s voice raised four octaves - conservatively. “It is a huge deal that Mel and Sue are leaving Bake Off. You expect me to put up with cut rate jokes about soggy bottoms from someone else? Nope, I don’t care who they get to host next - it’s Mel and Sue or no one.”
And with three lines, Steve finally understood what they’d all been arguing about at the dinner table for twenty minutes. The baking show that Nat and Tony loved were getting new hosts - he’d forgotten what “GBBO” meant.
Steve looked up from his chicken cacciatore and caught Tony’s eye. The other man winked quickly and Steve bit back a grin.
