Hayden would like to think he’d seen all the sides of Shane Hollander. He’d seen him as the ‘Hockey-Robot’, seen him as brother Shane, his children’s Uncle Shane. Hayden had also been granted the privilege of seeing him in-love.
Unfortunately, looking at Shane right now- devastated, and terrified, with something dangerous and unhinged glinting in his eyes, Hayden was unsure how to proceed.
"That's not fucking funny Boiziau," his friend’s voice was cold and utterly unfamiliar in his ears, he can see Shane’s shoulders, tense and coiled, like a snake ready to pounce on its prey.

It’s on the tip of his tongue. He can almost hear it in his head but the sound just won’t come out. The powder in his hands becomes sticky with sweat—seeping into his skin, into his veins, into his blood, into his head—he coughs feeling suffocated by the sound of his own silence.
“Buck??” The concern in Eddie’s voice makes his chest tighten.
“help” That’s all that he manages before he’s chocking on the words that won’t come out—that he can’t swallow back.
OR Emerging on the other end doesn't make you stronger like they say. Not every time. Sometimes it breaks you-chips away at you until you're downing and then its too late. Good for Buck, Eddie always finds him before its too late.
