Humans can only amuse him so much, he thinks, until one day, he crosses paths with a duo: a hunter, Wriothesley, as well as his young assistant, Sigewinne. Oblivious to his true nature, they show him great kindness, although Neuvillette can’t help but feel that the two are also hiding their own fair share of dark secrets...
Curious and with nothing to lose, he allows himself to be swayed into a lasting friendship, even as his bloodlust grows, and with each day, it becomes harder and harder for him to resist sinking his teeth into Wriothesley’s neck. Just what is it that makes that man so tempting, anyway?((UPDATE: As of chapter 12, the main story of the fic is complete. Chapter 13 will be a 'bonus' with some extra fluff, worldbuilding and smut :) ))

Neuvillette was so appalled that he pushed past the cowboy and began walking back towards the road with the intent of making his way on foot if he needed to.
“Relax, Neuvillette, I was teasing you! I didn’t mean to offend your delicate sensibilities,” Wriothesley said with amusement.
“You are a rascal! A boor!” exclaimed the Englishman with annoyance.
