Summary
Will goes off to college, living a new, beautiful life in New York City with Jonathan. He makes new friends, and finds a boy who might love him. He's barely heard from Mike for four months, but when he comes back to Hawkins for winter break and Mike randomly confesses his love, Will has to make a difficult decision.

“Mike,” Will says softly, quietly, “I’m being serious when I tell you there is someone else, I can’t… how can I do this with you?”

Summary
Desperation sits heavy on Mike's tongue. The taste of it is metallic like blood and nails. Will looks at him, half sat up in bed with sleepily confused eyes. It was as if Mike was waking a child from a deep slumber. But as he sat on his knees, tears streaming down his face because of a dream he can only vaguely remember, he found his hand slowly moving towards Will's and gripping it tightly. The words came out of his mouth before he could stop them and when he watched Will's eyes widen at the words, Mike felt instant regret.
"Tell me I'm good."
Logline: When Mike wakes from another vecna-fueled nightmare, he desperately seeks comfort from Will. Will seems just as desperate to give it to him.
