    Bakugou Katsuki likes to fight.

    Well– he likes to win, actually. But a win is only worth a damn when you have to fight for it, and there’s only one person in this stupid class who actually can put up a fight against Katsuki. That’s why the guy makes a halfway decent sparring partner – Icyhot’s strong. Icyhot’s powerful. He makes every damn thing look effortless, but when Katsuki’s his opponent, he has to actually try for once.

    So then– what the hell is he supposed to do when the half and half bastard stops trying?

    Or: Bakugou and Todoroki have an arrangement to spar after school for stress relief. But when Todoroki starts looking and acting strangely, Bakugou starts to pay a little closer attention.

    Or: Izuku and Katsuki and their adventure into UA. They find a friend in Shinsou Hitoshi along the way and are just trying to find their way to the hero course. Part of of two, hopefully!

    The brighter the light, the darker the shadows. And in a super-powered society, those shadows are dark indeed. But whilst the world desperately trained more and more heroes, making that light brighter and brighter, the prestigious hero school, UA, had another idea. Why not tackle the problem at its source?

    And so was born the infamous class 1-A. Would-be criminals from all over the country were selected, and a group of twenty now roam the halls of the school, alongside the heroes of the next generation.

    Last year, the entirety of Mr Aizawa’s class A graduated. But this year was different. No, he didn’t believe they would all graduate back into society like the classes before them. He believed they could become something bigger. That was why, with gritted teeth and a manic smile, Eraser Head turned to his new class of students and said:

    "You aren't villains - you never were, and you never will be. But you can take that fire inside of you and put it to good use. We're in a hero school, aren't we? Well then...

    "Let's be heroes."

    He’s a few feet away from UA’s gates when he proceeds to trip over his somehow magically untied shoelace and stub his toe roughly on a rock. He thinks, Fuck my life, as he hops around in a miserable, one-footed circle of pain.

    He proceeds to almost fall over as a voice that is definitely not his echoes in his mind. What?

    What? Izuku thinks back automatically, just as baffled as the voice.

    Who... the voice stammers. It’s masculine but young, maybe somewhere around Izuku’s age. Izuku and the voice appear to have the same realisation at the same time.

    There’s someone in my head! -dammit what was that demon’s Art?- oh my gosh how the hell- wouldn’t it be cancelled when I killed him? Is this a curse?- stupid snack runs, I’m never leaving my room again. What quirk would even- what is going on?

    or, Izuku gets hit by a quirk that sticks a person in his head. It's not as fun as it sounds.

    As Bosacius’ eyes caught up with his arms he found himself struggling to pull the blow. The sharp whirlwind they’d been fighting...was a child. A bony, bruised, clearly starved child who wasn’t fighting anymore, just standing there swaying, looking towards the dais.
    Warrior or not, opponent or not, Bosacius couldn’t bring himself to kill a child.

    This fic will not be continued as is; it is, however, in the process of being rewritten, and the rewrite will continue where this leaves off.
