"C'mon, Shou. You know what I mean."
"Do I?" Shouto asks, bemused.
"I have - back pain. My ankles are shot from too many rough landings. I snore, and I need glasses, and my knees pop every time I get out of bed in the morning." He shakes his head, sighing. "It's embarrassing, you should divorce me."
"We haven't even submitted the marriage registration yet," Shouto points out.
"Then maybe you should run away while you still can!"
Shouto blinks. "Because your knees pop?"
"Because I'm - old and worn out!"
"But isn't that the whole point of getting married? That we can take care of each other as we get older, and make sure we aren't pushing ourselves too hard?"
Izuku purses his lips.
"The point is that I forced you into a stupid pact in high school about getting married to each other if we didn't marry other people first, and now here we are! Cutting the cake and tossing bouquets!"
Ah, Shouto thinks. This again.
As third years, Izuku and Shouto decide to get married. Fifteen years later, they actually do it.

"Jesus Christ," Bakugou snaps. "Fucking - what the hell were you thinking?"
Shouto blinks, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.
"I was thinking," he says slowly, his voice still a little raspy, "that I wanted some chocolate."
"You what?"
"I can't pick it up, because my right hand is broken and it melts in my left before I can eat it, so Midoriya was - helping me. Get it with my mouth."
Bakugou eyes the counter, and the abandoned salad tongs resting haphazardly on the plate of chocolates. He puts the pieces of what they were doing together, his eyes narrowing into angry red slits as he comes to the very obvious, very embarrassing conclusion -
And then he promptly throws the empty water bottle at Midoriya's head, ignoring the way he yelps when it smacks him in the forehead.
"Morons," he snaps. "Fucking morons, the both of you."
Todoroki's having some trouble eating his Valentine's Day chocolates. Midoriya is all too willing to help him figure it out.

Summary
Izuku groans, lamenting all the life choices that have led him to this moment.
Why did he try to become a hero, he questions?
Why did he befriend Shouto Todoroki?
How on earth could he mistake his best friend masturbating for a thief breaking into the apartment of two highly ranked heroes, what the hell is his problem?
"Please tell me you didn't hit your head on something and die," Uraraka says over the phone, insistent.
Izuku barks out a laugh, holding his head in his hands; he chooses to ignore the half-concerned, half-scandalized looks the rest of the people on the sidewalk are giving him. "No," he mourns. "I'm still alive."
Unfortunately.
Izuku fesses up to accidentally overhearing Shouto call out his name during a private moment. He's not dissatisfied with the results.

Summary
Izuku's expression shutters. He hesitates, sucking his lower lip between his teeth in lieu of immediately giving an answer; his gaze slides somewhere to the right, even as his cheeks flush a damning shade of pink, some secret he's keeping tall as a wall between them, and -
Oh, Shouto thinks, devastated. He was right, after all.
He was right, Bakugou had confessed; Shouto really has missed his chance to tell Midoriya how he feels about him, that he loves him. He's too late, too late, too late -
And rather than heartbreak, a strange sort of numbness settles over his shoulders.
Shouto overhears Bakugou confessing his feelings to Midoriya. It kind of ruins his night.

Summary
Something about tonight feels different, though.
Suguru seems different, seems resolved in a way that Satoru's never seen before.
And afterwards, as they're once more sprawled out on the tangled sheets, desperate to catch their breath, he's proved correct when Suguru twists towards him and says, "December the twenty-fourth, of this year."
"What?"
"You mentioned this great plan I have, said I could put it on you if I wanted," Suguru murmurs, glancing over Satoru's shoulder and up at the moonbeams shining through the window. Then, with a slight shiver, he adds, "That's when I'll make my move, Satoru. That's when I'll make war on jujutsu society in an attempt to capture that cursed spirit you've found attached to that boy. Rika Orimoto."
And Satoru goes very, very still.
Satoru visits Suguru one last time before everything falls apart.

His fingers twitch by his side where his belt has Charmander stored away in his ball. Inside his chest, his heart is singing to the beat of the crowd.
