Summary
Barry went still, breath catching in his throat. His eyes, wide and soft, locked on Len's with the same unguarded wonder he'd worn on their first date. Lips parted, like he meant to say something but the words were caught in the net between his ribs. Len had tucked that memory away in the deepest corner of his heart — because that was the moment he'd thought, ah... I'm truly and indefinitely fucked.
Then the shrill buzz of Barry's phone echoed in the quiet, making him flinch. Len's hand fell away.
And just like that, the look in Barry's eyes vanished — wiped clean — leaving Len to be nothing but a stranger again.
Or: Where Barry gets amnesia, Len is partly amused, and they fall in love again.
(Or: Me bending time and space and canon for the narrative of this story because I accidentally went down a ColdFlash-shaped rabbit hole while looking for ArrowFlash friendship fics instead. It takes place across two days because one day wasn't enough for amnesia Barry.)

“No, why—”. Batman’s mouth clamped shut, face looking rather constipated. It was truly a sight, seeing the Big Bat himself rigidly shuffling in place with pursed lips and the air of a man who is regretting his entire existence. “Why…did you make me cookies?”.
Now, Barry’s a rambler. It came with being a speedster, with a mind that ran and ran and never stopped. There’s countless ways he could answer this and countless amounts of reasons why that particular answer would work – would be the right one but out of all those, Barry's mouth moved, his heart having already chosen one from the start.
“As a thank you”.
Or the Flash found out Batman liked cookies and just rolled with it.

Summary
Hal Jordan was dying long before a mission went wrong and his heart finally gave out.
He was dying when he signed the divorce papers. Dying without making it anyone else’s problem.
No one Noticed.
Not Bruce. Not Clark. Not the Justice League.And Hal was fine with that because twenty months ago he signed away the right to have anyone worry about him.
He would have kept it that way, too If he hadn’t burned himself out saving the world. If he hadn’t collapsed hard enough that everyone finally had to look.
Now Bruce and Clark are hovering like they never spent nearly two years avoiding him. Acting like this is their burden to carry, like they didn’t already decide, once, that letting him go was easier than staying.
Hal doesn’t understand it. There’s no cure. If Oa hasn’t found one, there’s no point in pretending otherwise. He’s made peace with dying.
Bruce and Clark haven’t.
They refuse to give up on him the way they gave up on the marriage. And that more than the poison in his blood or the ache in his chest is what hurts the most.
Because Hal is still in love with them. And loving them while they fight to save him might be the one thing he can’t survive.

And just like that, Bruce knows that none of this is real, it can’t be.
The moment he admits it to himself, more blurry memories start to come back, flashing in his mind. He remembers going on a mission with the League to take care of some intergalactic terrorists, just like he remembers catching a glimpse of Black Mercy and hearing Clark yell at him to watch out before everything went dark.
“This isn’t real, none of it.” Bruce whispers, watching as Hal sighs out in defeat and glances over at the dining room where their family is happily chattering.
“No, but wouldn’t it be nice if it were?”
Bruce takes a step towards Hal and gently cups his jaw, pressing a small kiss against the corner of his mouth. “It would be but it’s not, and I can’t stay here.”
(or, a universe, where the influence of the Black Mercy and his perfect fantasy world is what finally gets Bruce to be honest about his feelings for Hal.)

Batman was down.
Hal was naturally protective of the people he loved, but his teammates were of course completely oblivious to the fact that Bruce was one of those people. It must be strange for them, seeing Hal so emotional over someone whose buttons he tended to press the most.
OR When Bruce randomly collapses in the middle of a fight, Hal, trapped in a state of sheer worry and panic, can't be bothered to conceal his emotions which then causes a surprising revelation to be brought into the light.
