There is a figure crouched over the body.
It is broad, far broader than any human should be, its shoulders hunched beneath skin that gleams beneath the weak light. Its elongated hands are planted against the hull, talons driven deep into the wood, splintering it beneath their weight as though the ancient timber were little more than rotten driftwood.
Impossibly long locks of pink trail from its head and shoulders, floating across the surface of the water before disappearing beneath it, winding down into the dark depths and blending with the creature's enormous, dark-red tail.
Tommy stops breathing.

2: Tommy never actually worked with others and was, quite frankly... Dogshit at it
3: Tommy didn't want to watch them die when he ultimately failed
Icarus has only six months to train his interns and with each passing week, things start to change and get more dangerous for himself and his interns. Tommy doesn't even know if he can protect them while also protecting himself. With each passing month, Tommy seems to discover more about a hidden truth that seems to have been laying out in the open.
