"How exactly do you mean to double 'everything I had?'" said Ash. He meant it to come out level, but there was a quaver in his voice.
"One more trick," Webster said. "Play, and win or lose you will walk away with your fortune." Ash stared at him. Webster made an impatient gesture. "I don't want or need your money. Or your house. Or your coat and shirt, come to that."
It was an offer of princely generosity. Ash's mouth was dry. "And what would you have from me?" he asked.
Something flared in Webster's cool expression for a moment, like a shark flashing a fin in still waters. "A month," he said.

“You look very young.” Louis laughed.
“Don’t blame my genes, and I happen to think the whole silver fox thing suits you.” Harry shrugged, and Louis’ eyes widened just enough for Harry to flush.
“Okay- I am not old enough to be considered a silver fox, am I?” Louis set his spoon down and stared at Harry with furrowed brows.
“I'm not the best judge. Apparently I’ve just finished puberty.” Harry smiled.
“You’re what- twenty four? You basically have.” Louis snorted.
“Oh shut up- I've graduated from college. I'm a grown man.” Harry rolled his eyes, leaning back in his chair, arms crossing over his chest.
Louis watched him for a moment, eyes darting across his knitted sweater, falling onto his hair that was brushing the tops of his shoulders. He did look young, and Louis was really trying to stop himself from noticing how pretty he was.
Or the one where Louis has been a farmer for the past decade, his sisters are rightfully worried about his sanity, and Harry swoops in to bring Louis back to life
