So when he has to leave for a week to help his family move out of his childhood home, he tries not to think about it too much. They’ve never been good at being apart... but it’s only seven days.
Until she suddenly stops answering the phone. The longer the silence stretches, the more certain he becomes that something is wrong. By the time he gets home, he’s already bracing for the worst.

Summary
The party managed to survive the battle with the Mind Flayer. Of course, not without a few bruises and an unconscious Henry Creel. Nothing too crazy. Not at all. He was just as trapped as the twelve children, information they acquired thanks to Will and El, or else; heads would have rolled. Now stuck with a former serial killer (was it even his fault?), the party must learn to move forward and face the dangers that still haunt Hawkins. Meanwhile, Henry must navigate through the web of trauma, facing his past, and deal with a bunch of teenagers that will try to kill him in his sleep the first chance they get (he doesn’t blame them). But of course, this is all easier said than done.

The words had come out faster than her brain was able to process them fully, and now that they were hanging in the air, she inwardly cringes. It was a ridiculous thing to say, she didn’t know this man, not only would he probably be super weirded out, but he could be married, or a major creep. Heck, she hadn’t even taken the time to look at his face and make sure they were in the same age bracket, but then again, at this point she was desperate.
“Excuse me?”
Her head snaps around faster than she thought possible at his voice, and as she takes in the dark curly hair and freckled cheeks she suddenly wishes he’d been a major creep. Because out of all seven billion people in the world, she’d just so happened to run into the one person she loathed.
