Barty has been in love with Evan for as long as he can remember. Evan is the addiction fostered somewhere deep in his core, one he hopes to never recover from. The two love eachother, that must be what this is. This has to be love because Barty has never wanted something this much.

Summary
There is something both thrilling and intimate about watching someone when they think no one is around, seeing how they behave in the vacuum of other people’s perception.
Regulus momentarily sheds his poise when he wrestles with the ancient lock, tote bags precariously balanced on his shoulders and neat curls just beginning to frizz and frazzle in the humidity. He mutters something James is too far away to hear, but it is most certainly a curse.
It’s oddly endearing.
