There is no one Mike and Chance hate more than each other…

So, together they devise a plan to ruin his relationship with Will.
Chance is doing it because he wants Will back. Plain and simple. Chance never stopped loving Will, and it pains him to see him with a man that doesn't deserve him.
Mike is doing it purely out of spite, no other reason. Totally not his unresolved feelings for his childhood best friend, Will Byers. Pshhh. Absolutely not. Because Mike doesn't have feelings, that would be ridiculous! No no, see he's just petty and vindictive, and wants to see Carlton’s entire world burn around him while Mike stands there holding the matches! Breaking up him and Will just… happens to be a happy benefit of that!
They each have their own motivations for stealing Will from Carlton. They're doing the whole wide world a favor, really. But in order to do this, they have to put aside their differences and form a united front against Carlton… and through a series of hilarious hijinks and unfortunate events, slowly fall in love in the process.

Tormented by memories of El, and haunted by a song constantly playing on the radio (courtesy of an old friend), Mike Wheeler hears that his best friend is hospitalized from a nasty car crash and comes rushing to his side. While Mike awaits his bedside for Will to wake up from a coma, he is left with nothing to do but sit and think about his past, and what the rest of his future will look like if he has to lose Will too.
All the while, receiving scathing glares from across the other side of the bed by Will's boyfriend… as well as suspicious looks from the wife sitting right beside Mike.

Slow updates possibly, because I have trauma with DV myself. This fic started as a project to help me work through my trauma, but after I got a little tipsy and decided to post it on TikTok a lot of people wanted to read this fic. I hope this finds someone who will enjoy reading as much as I will enjoy writing, but due to how close to home the abuse aspect is, it might be a while between chapters. But I promise I won't abandon it, and will still post as regularly as I can. This fic is too important for me to just abandon 🤗 Y'all just might have to bear with me.
Also some of the chapters are REALLY long lol so it takes a while to edit them.
