This is the first time that Occtis has had privacy in months, since leaving the Penteveral to help Thjazi. Even before he had companions so reluctant to let him out of their sight, more often than not he and Thaisha would share a room to save on coin better spent on rations or travelling supplies. And, well, there is one line of investigation which requires privacy.
