Summary
While on patrol, Jason Todd finds a tiny, shivering puppy behind a dumpster. He can’t just leave it there. Bruce shouldn’t be the only one who can take in strays.
Tim Drake did not expect to be transformed into a dog while stalking Batman and Robin. He certainly didn’t expect Robin to take him home. Tim really should tell them he’s not actually a dog but they keep cuddling him and it’s not like anyone will notice he’s gone.

Summary
An AU where Tim was imprisoned by Black Mask for most of his adolescence, trained to be his successor. His reintroduction to Gotham - and to Gotham's vigilantes - could go a little smoother. At least enough of his morality sticks around that he can probably consider himself safe from being a supervillain.
Though he isn't quite sure he qualifies for "superhero," either.

Summary
Jason didn’t know when it started. If he thought about it, he remembered the bright light that surrounded his mom in her last days. After that, he noticed the way some people lit up, outlined in a growing brightness that emitted from the edges of their beings. The brighter the individual, the closer they were to death.
At the parties that Bruce insisted on dragging him to, he expected the dim light from the tired old businessmen who drank too much and were limping closer to their ends, glowing a little more every time Jason saw them.
What he did not expect was for the 12-year-old neighbor kid to light up like a damn Christmas tree the second Jason laid his eyes on him.

“What did they promise you, huh? What lies did they give you?” Tim demands, eyes fixed on Paige, even as he addresses the rest of the room. He doesn’t trust either of them. Not for one second.
“Our world has been brought to its knees by a virus” Ava starts, her voice hesitant, like she knows Tim isn’t going to believe a word she’s saying.
“We had solar flares that scorched the earth and killed anything it touched. Crops are scarce and food is running low. But that’s not the main threat. With the solar flares, the virus came. We call it ‘The Flare’”
Tim barely stops himself from flinching, images of black veins and desiccated, walking, diseased people coming to mind.

Drug overdoses have decreased by twenty two percent in adults and seventy nine percent in minors. Homeless minors are ninety two percent less likely to—”
“Kid,” Jason interrupted. “Enough statistics. What the hell is this about?”
Robin slowly lowered the tablet with his powerpoint presentation and looked up at Red Hood.
“You care about Gotham,” Robin summarised. “Gotham needs Batman. Batman is missing and so is Nightwing. We need you to fill in for Batman.”
“You want me to cover Batman’s patrols?” Jason clarified.
“No,” Robin said. “I want you to be Batman.”
Jason bluescreened.

Beneath Gotham there is something. Anyone who spends time with their feet on the ground can tell you that much. At the surface level it's goons and scared street kids. Beneath them are the sewers, haunted by endless appetites and the scraping of hide against stone. Beneath that is glowing green, craving warmth of blood and rage, hunting for its host. And even further beneath that is something other.
Above Gotham there is something. Anyone who spends time in the city can tell you that much. In the shadows of tall buildings or on outcrops of stone there was movement. Flashes of color or shadows taken form. Ever watchful eyes following the movement of the cities beating heart.
Some feared what was above, some feared what was below. But for one... well one craved both.

clockwork, realizing that this happening would destroy that timeline, interferes.
when Tim wakes up in his coffin, not pit-mad, but instead ghostly and inhuman in a way he's never seen before, he decides to make use of his newfound abilities and find and bring back Bruce.
what happens after that? well, he's not entirely sure- he'll cross that bridge when he gets to it.
